There seems to be 2 camps going: very thinned out acrylic paints, layered over time.

Or a burnt red pastel like the one found in Tamiya's Weathering Master Set D applied gently like makeup.

Thanks for like earlier. Yeah, I tried the tamiya weathering stuff at first, but didn't really like it too much. I just went with thinned acrylic using some colors like burnt sienna and raw sienna mixed with a light tan color. Just have to kind of play around with it to get a color(mine's not at all perfect, but close enough for me). It can get a bit clumpy if you're not careful. Just try some test runs on the back if you want to practice. A little water will rub it right off if you don't like it

Then I tried to hair the head ... Believe it or not the mohair I used was actually the same colour as the lighter part of the Hot Toys fur. It did not photograph the same however.

Looking good. I'm excited to see the final result!
