For something that costs so much... they really should get it right and treat it like a human likeness.
Did a little manip - not perfect - of what I see wrong with the dome. Had my friend StarWars Collector make it into a gif showing the before and after.

There's been 12" versions of Vader for nearly 40 years. It would be nice to have one that you can hold in your hands that looks like a shrunken down Vader from the movies instead of simply yet another 12" version of Vader, even if it is a bit more detailed and better quality overall.
It's time for a "definitive" 1/6 version of Vader, one that has as much attention to detail and accuracy as the prop and model replicas that have come out in the past few years. Vader's the most iconic SW visual of all.
Just far too stylized and perfect. People seem to just accept it however. If this was a dodgy tiny stark sculpt I imagine the board would explode but as its not an actual face sculpt people seem to just look over the inaccuracies.

Here's the closest comparison shot I could find, so those of you with photoshop skilz can do a more scrutinzing comparison. Tried to scale the pictures based on size and angle of mouth.
i haven't seen any shots where they eyes look red either, i guess i shouldn't be surprised as ht did black lenses for just about every single predator mask too.

I don't remember who took this but you can see the red lenses.
The eye sockets should still be in black, and for Anh version, the eyelid edge should also be black, so you cannot see the rim while his dome is on...
And the gunmetal on his upper right cheek should curve away toward he edge of his nose...
The domes skirt should stick out forward more at the brow and lessen the arches, that'd help tremendously
Has anyone ever tried 3d scanning an accurate 1:1 scale vader helmet (I.e. The. efx helmet)? I think the 3d printing medium has been getting more accessible these days, and I'm guessing that's one way to get a pretty accurate 1/6 scale vader helmet.
I so want to like and buy this, but looking at this I know I will have just as many if not more issues then I do with the ssc version, and I just can't bring my self to spend the dollars on the same issuesHere's the closest comparison shot I could find, so those of you with photoshop skilz can do a more scrutinzing comparison. It'll be a great figure no doubt, I just want it to be moreI guess it can never be "perfect" I don't mind because this will be my first DV but I can see why others wouldn't want to buy it

I don't think eFX would be very happy that people scan, scale down and print their helmets.
I scanned and printed a fan owned Vader helmet, armor and shins. The thread can be found in the Custom Creations section.
