I don't know if Vader is any better, in either the helmet or the height, but has HT made changes to the Old Ben sculpt?

The Vader just doesn't look very well futzed....and the video didn't linger on him either (not to say any advance look isn't appreciated)...really like the Interrogator Droid.

As for Obi-Wan....really like the robes, belt, boots. Sculpt looks softer...is this a production figure we're seeing here? I'm still not "sold" on that portrait, but like a lemming, I've got it on order....

I'm just guessing, but these are probably final production figures. HT may have tweaked the Ben sculpt, just as it did with Han.

Last I heard from via my preorder, Lord Vader is still on schedule.
I'd expected this thread to be a little more active by now.

I dusted off my SS Vader today and thought to myself: Replacing this Vader for the HT version would be utterly silly! There is nothing wrong with figure.

Eh....I fully expect it to get bumped. Asia release date "may" stay intact but States wouldn't get it until November sometime.

It looks like a toy compared to what's been released since... so this is a big upgrade for me.

I had the Medicom one and sold it...It was an awesome figure at the time, but Medicom has always had an issue with the height of their figures...And agree, compared to whats out now, the Medicom version just doesn't hold up today...

This figure makes me glad we now get very early in-hand pics from Asia - providing plenty of time to cancel if needed. Hopefully this one turns out like Han (slightly better than expected) or like Chewy (noticeably better than expected.) It would be awesome if this one surprised on the upside in-hand.

Totally agree. I optimistically pre-ordered and paid in full. Because if something happens once (Han improvements) it might happen again. If something happens twice (Han improvements and Chewie improvements) you can bet it will happen again.
