1/6 Hot Toys - MMS 279 - Star Wars Episode IV: 1/6th scale Darth Vader

I dusted off my SS Vader today and thought to myself: Replacing this Vader for the HT version would be utterly silly! There is nothing wrong with figure.

This figure makes me glad we now get very early in-hand pics from Asia - providing plenty of time to cancel if needed. Hopefully this one turns out like Han (slightly better than expected) or like Chewy (noticeably better than expected.) It would be awesome if this one surprised on the upside in-hand.

I'll be surprised if this gets shipped in Sept for folks in Canada. From my experience there always a 1-2 month delay. Looking forward to getting this one.

Hell if this turns out sour i might just get on that list for a custom vader from ms.hurricane, at least then for 300$ your would get your moneys worth.

Where I am from it normally takes a week or two for the local shops to get the item in stock.

I'm a little late to this one but I have been increasingly deciding I want one of these. it'll be my first Vader. My question is - do any UK retailers still have him? I have checked collectibles direct and the good the bad and the robots, anywhere else I can try?

Generalgrievious, looking forward to seeing your hurricane sculpt! Unless Hot Toys changes some things, this figure has no chance of being accurate even if it is a nice figure. It is great that Hurricane is providing an alternative that has a good chance at vastly improving the Hot Toys figure. Especially so if the Hot Toys figures is in scale with Hurricane's helmets.

I hope that Hot Toys releases a production picture on September 4th along with the Force Awakens reveals.

ok here is a shot of hurricane`s ANH vader mask. im still working on the figure. I have a pair of ANH soft goods glove set coming from hurricane as well. and at the bottom of the page is the full reveal head sculpt from ROTJ that he did for me as well enjoy.

I was referring to Hot Toys not being accurate. Your pictures confirm that Hurricane's Vader looks to be more accurate.
