Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Someone please remember that I'm saying this especially you Exoticlex I feel the same way about those sculpts and noticed the running theme, they were all sculpted by Koujin, by far the worst Hot Toys sculptor! They need to get rid of him like they need to get rid of Howard Chan's love for Johnny Depp. I wouldn't be shocked if he sculpted this Obi Wan as well. I hate Koujin the fool has sculpted RDJ so many times and they don't look anything like the actor!
Dolls bro, they're just dolls. Koujin didn't rape your family.

It's important to remember that these things are prototypes, but it's also important to remember to voice your opinion. The HT Facebook page, SSF, wherever; if you want a better Ford likeness, find the flaws, point out how they can fix them, and ask for it. Same goes for Guinness or Vader, or anything.

These figures are my family! Forever Alone :lol no you are right I shouldn't react like he killed my family but damn the guy sucks at sculpting and they give him some of the most iconic figures to do. I don't know why they keep thinking he's going to get it right.

Have you seen the Facebook page :lol its littered with people requesting Adams Family Values figures :lol I've posted pics with corrections to Han I doubt they will give my posts to them a second glance.

Persistence is key. I posted the same **** day after day after day about the QS Batman before it came out, by the time it came out, it was like a totally different (and ridiculously amazing) figure compared to the prototype. Was it because of everyone who posted? Probably not, but I like to think we helped a little bit.:lol

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

honestly vader would look a lot better as well if they had the tunic right. It needs to be moved over to cover
the stomach and cod piece some more.

I hear ya, I would like to think they listen to us, time will tell on these figures.

...and one more time, with the other tusk darkened.

Another in accuracy I noticed thanks for the pics, might have to post those over on their Facebook page now.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

I think Howard will listen on these. Star Wars is a passion project for him, and he's talked about it for years (even prior to the SSC collaboration Luke, I believe). I see him wanting to collect these figures like all of you, and, with that in mind, I don't think he'd let his ego get in the way of these being the best they can be.

Lets hope so. Obi-wan looks perfect to me aside from the lightsaber color being the wrong blue. Vader will be
tweaked I hope.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Good point Racetrack I forget about that. SS never improves their figures from proto to final product, I'm glad at least Hot Toys does that and listens to our feedback about stuff.

What is it about the height that everyone always talk about? What is the accurate height for Vader?

I can't remember exactly but SS Vader is 13.5" which is like 0.5" too tall to be in scale (or was it 0.25?). Either way he is a little too tall when posed with other characters and it's noticable.

Far out, really? I wish I was seeing what you're seeing, 'cause I think it looks worse than the Han sculpt.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

well I guess we agree to disagree then :duff though the repainted sideshow one does look older. I like this one
though and im sure when the final mp version comes out it will look better.
