The electronics aren't that big of a deal anyway. Almost all of the main issues with the figure are with extra features that don't add that much anyway IMO. Otherwise, it is a very solid figure, with few major issues. It is still worth it if you like this version of Vader's costume. Of course, I bet there will be a reissue with slight changes if Rogue One includes Vader as a character.

I meant more that the electronics added to his cost unnecessarily and the problems being with his gloves, his helmet not being far down enough, etc...

Sorry if I wasn't clear.

I think I do like his ESB costume more. It's glossier, has the chest armor over the robes, the writing on the chestbox and the two silver tusks. But it would probably be a very long time before they make another?

I'm conflicted because Vader is one of, if not my favourite characters in Star Wars and I'm not sure if I should take a pass on this one.

so what's the consensus on the placement of the Saber Hook... is it too far to the back? different pics look like it's in different places... sometimes right beside the left belt box, sometimes more to the back.

My only issue with the Jazz repaints: they seem covered in dirt. Sorry to be the sole voice of the opposing side....I mean, they look very nice, but that looks like Luke Stormtrooper in Tatooine deco

Well, they WERE in the trash compactor for a while. :)

Personally for me, I think it just comes down to which costume version you like better, ANH or ESB/RotJ.

I personally like his ANH look the best. I like the tunic over the shoulder armor being that it makes him look darker and I prefer the weathered look of the armor as opposed to the glossy, brand new look.

I wouldn't be surprised if they unveil an ESB line possibly this Christmas.

I was wondering this myself, as I've noticed the same thing. In some pictures the hook looks like it's more towards the rear, but in others it looks like it's just behind the belt box. Mine is more towards the rear.

If I recall, the hook seemed to be at roughly a halfway point between these two locations in the film.

Got Vader out of his box today :)

It really is an amazing figure. Love the detail. Put him back in the box for now, he can't fit in my display with his stand and I don't want to risk anything.

Probe Droid stand is crap just like everyone has pointed out already. Didn't bother with the sound or the lights.

A quick visit in the display cabinet, very un-futzed...

Nice display and pose! will do that on next play with vader :D
looks like the more STs the better vader looks.

Any idea how to access the voice stuff if you strip the body screw?

Because whoever designed this should face charges for a war crime.

Redid the chest piece. Does this look a little closer, all?

Not bad, but honestly, I thought your originals repaints were fine. It's really hard to photograph the weathering, so it may be perfect in person. It maybe needs a bit more of the metal sheen. Trust me, I've repainted mine so many times trying to get it right that I just had to call it quits :lol

LOL, yeah. I did this last night and thought it looked ok, then I thought it was too light, then not light enough...ARGH!!!!!

helmet like a little high in the back. I had the same issue. lowered the front, but raised the back too high
My helmet is full on stock. Do you just mean the angle I have him at, in the pic?

Good point. Almost said nothing. Jazz is a super talented fellow for sure....

Why is it when I take pics outside, my camera has no problem with the subject, but I do pics inside and it was to focus on the crap box in the background? WTF camera?
