Yes, I'm afraid I don't have the steadiest of hands ! Right lense removed ! ( phew) Now to attempt the nose plug...

Thank you Guys for your help and for having the guts to break new ground !

right??! you have to cut away some of the support from the inside of the mask... then at the top of the back of the breather piece, THAT you have to cut away, it supports the nose piece, and once it's a little loose, it comes out the front. Then I trimmed a little off the back side of the nose piece... little by little until it's where you want it... glue it in and voila!! the inside of the nose space needs to be painted silver to match the nose plug... then you be done!! Vader Rhinoplasty!!

inside the dome... they are the structures that hold the facemask in place. they NEED to go!!!

I can't get the freaking mask to open. I cut the bottom 2 plugs with a hobby knife and the side ones (1 broke though, damn glue). But the middle plugs seem glued as well.

Any ideas anyone?

Take the Flathead screwdriver and gently wiggle it down the seam you've already created. You're bound to break an inner support or two...and even the end of the outside tusk stalk...that just goes with the territory. It'll go back together easily and strongly enough....especially if you glue it back. Despite what others may have said, it doesn't always pull apart easily.

Thanks man. The seams are already damaged so i guess it's worth it in the end.

Well I did heavy water treatment and also ironed the cape. Finally weathered the belt boxes, buckle and chest box. Added dusting along the bottom of the cape. For some reason it looks like a white line in the pic but not in person. I'll still probably take it down a bit. Next will be chest armor [emoji16]

So, think I am just about done with mine. Arm mod, lens mod (used shiny silver paper), and very minor helmet adjustment. Repainted chest, think I got the eyebrows. Beefed up the thighs with some extra gorilla glue - nothing extreme.

$300 And then this? Ouch. I want this HT but maybe not I guess.

See, for me, modding is fun as hell (and very finger dangerous)......I would have it no other way. I've had a blast with my ANH vader(s)

So I got my Vader today... Man! Getting those batteries in is a lot of work! I must have spent 20 minutes on each belt box! So is there any way to use the sound function without having to strip him all the time?
As good as the figure is I was pretty disappointed with the interrogation droid. Getting the tools in was a pain. I'm pretty sure they'll get lost eventually since they are barely attached to the droid. Don't even get me started on the base for it. At first I thought that it actually wasn't packed in the box and that the base was an empty plastic holder...
After everything was done though I gotta say, he is an awesome figure really glad I picked him up.

yeah the tools for the droid was a pain, but looks awesome - once assembled...

So I bought the HT hands on a whim of curiosity to see if they fit the SS ANH Vader body. The HT pegs have a larger circumference than the SS body allows.

Can anyone give me some tips on reducing the peg size so they will fit?
