Holy hell -- how did you even get the rings inside there? Looks brilliant when completed.

Tweezers and x-ray vision LOL!

I just turned the gauntlets inside-out. The o-rings are flexible enough that you can reverse the gauntlets back to normal when the glue is dry.

Haha! I wish it was only two. I have gauntlets for all my hands, including the 3 Nicholson, Joker hands I'm modding for Vader.

Anyone have HT Vader photos without a lot of mods that when futzes properly look like DV? Or, do I have to resort to tons of mods, if I can't find a custom to buy?

It honestly depends on your personal preference as to how much it looks like Vader in ANH.

It is a very nice figure either way.

I recently sold all 3 , but took photos before selling . I wish i never did , im gonna need to get a new Vader now.

did some major mods to mine , and remade the belt from scratch its a lot stronger then the stock one.

Heres a pic of mine (posted before in another thread).

No mods were done at all, just a little futzing and adjusting of his belt & codpeice. Hope this helps! Its a beautiful figure straight out of the box imo

Definitely otherwise what would be the point of naming the product ANH Vader? Also Hot toys has a history of making different / updated versions of iconic characters like Terminator, Batman, Robocop (not saying anything about Iron man) and Star wars is a cash cow at the moment.

I like the ANH Vader the most. The ESB /ROTJ version is a more clean / polished one. Despite some small drawbacks this is a fantastic figure right out of the box and does justice to the character. A definitely must buy. But if you don't care about the different look of Vader in ESB than you should wait for that one.

Oh, I didn't know that. So this guy has more wear and weathering? I just know some people weren't fans of the voice/sound system, the crotch piece, and the glove/gauntlet hands.

HT I'm sure will do an ESB and RotJ Vader. If you prefer either of those looks, just wait for them. I personally like his ANH look the best and I think this figure can look good right out of the box.

I hope the HT ESB Vader does a better job in capturing his ESB look than the ANH version did in capturing ANH. On this fig, things like the chest armor just don't look even close to right for ANH.

It is probably a given that HT will do an ESB and/or ROTJ Vader at least I hope they will since I am not too sold on this New Hope version. A Darth Vader figure means instant money in the bank being the most popular Star Wars and movie character of all time.

The only real issue I find with this one is the stupid glove design. Everything else can be futzed or outright modded. Futzing alone would produce the best off-the-rack 1/6 Vader to date. However...I opted to wait for ESB. I love everything about that version of the character. All about Bond Villain-style Vader.
