Yeah that silver nose insert is quite the eyesore. If that were removed completely and the inner nose switched to gunmetal, eye sockets painted black on the inside. The likeness would get way better. It's the little things like that that throw the prototype off. But it is a good start.

The tusks are steel, similar to the grills in the mouth opening and chin vent.
The ANH nose isn't silver. That's simply because most people are used to the ESB and RotJ look.
Different to the later movies too is the fact that the left (right when looking at the helmet from the front) side cheek area on the ANH is grey instead of black.
