Hah, Maybe i'm mistaken. I thought some of the ANH Vaders had allot of brow showing - more that the RO version or are the 2 versions exactly the same?

Pretty sure they're exactly the same molds. There's a myth that one has a larger helmet (meaning dome I think), but that has never been proven in comparisons.

Only the paint is different. But that can make quite a difference.

the mask that Hurricane made for me I cut out the eye lenses and used an amber colored photo cells that every one used for the tamashii c3 PO eye mods back when.

Yeah paint and colors can make a big difference. The same thing painted differently can appear very different. That might be the case with the new SS Batman compared to the BvS Batman. It's a lighter grey which can make it appear bigger. Can't say for sure with these Vaders but they could use the same helmet sculpts.

Sounds like a good way to get the lenses to reflect the amber color. I wish it were more pronounced in the RO figure as that's how it appeared for most of the movie with the exception of the Tantive scenes.

Oh HELL NO!, I'm thinking of going for that lense mod. It looks great with the enhanced amber like that. Is there a tutorial somewhere going over the mod? I seem to remember something about it, but it's been so long I can't remember.

For those that want the lenses to look red, like I did - since I dig changes - do the lens mod, and stick a bright white paper, or a shiny one - like origimi paper, on the inside. It will look red. Think I posted a pic a long time ago. Will see if I can find it.

Lens mod sounds scary, but in the 4 I've done, I've never ever had a problem.

Update: pic with Unmodified R1 helmet (left), modified r1(middle), modified ANH (right). Last two i placed shiny paper behind lenses.

TO be clear, last two lenses are unpainted, just placed paper behind to make their natural color pop

ANH there on the right is way too low.

Ahh gotcha 👍🏽
Now I might lower mine a bit.
Watch some vids and might have a go at it.

Darth Vader looks cooler with reddish eyes, accuracy be damned.

If I could go back in time, I'd force myself into the production and mandate that Vader's eyes be red and lil' Wor would love it.

With some super accurate weathering and lots of the mods already described by fellow freaks, I am VERY happy with my ANH Vader.
