I view Anakin and Vader as two separate people for a time in Star Wars (up until Cloud City, that is when Anakin begins to accept the lightside more and more until he is redeemed). Darkside warps one's personality traits into something different. So of course they are going to be different.

The Darkside didn't invent his personality or intelligence. The Anakin that fought the Clone Wars should have been more akin to the way Vader behaves in ANH, just with a different perspective on life. Powerful, determined and focused, intelligent and confident. The Anakin in the prequels is a whiner and a goon who decides to murder children at the drop of a hat.

Okay... the darkside logic must be going over your head.

You do know that the darkside of the force twists and changes a person into something they are not... right?

That he why he killed the younglings... that and the demented thinking it would save his wife....

I mean, that bold... it just makes no sense at all, never heard anyone complain about that before. He fell to the darkside and murdered children. Pretty easy to grasp if you are a Star Wars fan...

Anakin in ROTS is very powerful, focused, determined, confident and intelligent. His choice to become a mass murderer was made to save his wife. You're making it sound like he did it for no reason. Also, ANH Vader is 20 years older.

All in all, this is a very poorly conceived argument against ROTS Vader.

Nothing is going over my head. The Darkside doesn't create a super evil person whole cloth. Otherwise, what's the point of his redemption and his struggle? Why can't he just claim he was possessed? This is why that Hayden scene forced into Jedi doesn't work at all, it's nonsense.

Anakin Skywalker died in ROTS when he became Darth Vader, therefore that scene in ROTJ where Hayden replaces Shaw makes perfect sense.

He absolutely did it for no reason.

-Palpatine vaguely implies he can save Anakin's wife from dying some future death.
-Anakin is swindled by this, and decides to kill a Jedi leader over it.
-Palpatine then admits he's full of ****.
-Anakin is like, cool, I'll be evil anyway. Should I start with the kids?
-Anakin cries and whines and kills all his friends. The End.

No, a person has to slowly start to succumb to the dark side through actions... like Anakin did... but once the dark side fully embodies who you are... it changes and twists that person and is very hard to be redeemed....

Yup. Exactly. Anakin died in ROTS. Vader was born in ROTS. Vader dies in ROTJ. Anakin is redeemed/resurrected in ROTJ.

You really have no grasp on the movie or anything Star Wars do you?

You've got to be kidding me. It makes no sense at all. If Anakin died when he became Darth Vader, then all the things Luke said to him about there still being good in him shouldn't have made a difference at all. What you're saying is Vader is beyond redemption. Read what you're writing! It's nonsense and makes zero sense.

The Anakin in ROTS is a moron. An utterly incompetent fool. He joins Palpatine despite Sidious outright telling the guy that he doesn't have the power that he promised him. He trusted a man who had lied to him and everyone in the ****ing Galaxy for his whole life. He trusted a creepy, deceitful monster face Sith Lord to the point of murdering innocent children. He's not tortured or conflicted. He has the IQ of a ****ing lamp post.

Lol did you even watch the movie?

-Palpatine tells Anakin there's a way to cheat death which only the Sith can offer.
-Anakin goes to Yoda for advice who says in Jedi fashion "The fear of loss is a path to the Dark Side. Learn to let go."
-Like a normal husband, Anakin ignores Yoda's advice and continues to consider Palpatine's offer yet still turns him over to the Jedi. This is where everything comes full circle. Mace wants to execute Palpatine - which bothers Anakin because he regrets executing Dooku. Palpatine plays to that and makes Anakin wrestle with the situation. Because Anakin needs Palpatine to save Padme and dislikes Mace's refusal to let Palpatine stand trial - he cuts off his arm. Once Palpatine fries Mace, Anakin realizes he's made a huge mistake and sees he's sold his soul to the devil. At that point, there's no reason not to stay the course. "I will do whatever you ask. Just help me save Padme's life."

Every murder felt like one step closer to saving her.

If you're gonna criticize a movie at least watch it first since your post suggests you know nothing of the plot.

Let me explain.

Anakin has visions/dreams about Padme dying. Jedi can sometime predict the future in there dreams. Anakin is very concerned this is going to happen and needs to find a way to save Padme.

Palpatine... after getting to know Anakin over the course of years becomes someone Anakin can trust and talk to... Palpatine begins to slowly manipulate Anakin and mentions a Sith has the power to cheat death.

Anakin slices Mace's arm off because Mace was about to kill Papatine and Anakin needed Palpatine to help save Padme.

Anakin is in shock and the dark side of the force begins to slowly wash over him from all previous actions of his and the demented belief that going to the dark side would save Padme.

Anakin follows his new masters wishes and kills all the Jedi... even the younglings.

He does not cry or whine.

"Every murder made me feel closer to saving you, Padme!" *proceeds to choke her*

Garbage. There's nothing of the OT Vader in the so called character of Anakin Skywalker in the prequels. Nothing he does makes sense.

Great explanation, better than mine.
Yeah, you just don't know what you're talking about.

Yup.

He didn't succumb, he was suckered like a four year old.

He was raised as a normal full of emotions slave boy.
Left his mother.
His mother dies and he can not save her
He slaughters Tuskens
He executes Dooku
Anakin does not want Padme to suffer the same fate as his mother and wants to save her... he is not suckered into anything... it is a slow build where ever so slowly "parts" of him begin to succumb to the dark side until he gets to the point of no return.... slicing Mace arm off and making a deal with Palpatine... al so that history does repeat itself... which is the women Anakin loves dies....

A "moron". Where do I start.

If your wife is going to die and the people you trust with your life are telling you "Let it be" do you just let it be? Or do you entertain the idea that she CAN be saved even though its a proposal by the devil himself?

It had nothing to do with trust (something you clearly didn't have the foresight to see). It was about the possibility of saving her. If there was a chance he was going to pursue it and Palpatine sold him on what a strong chance he could give him. There was nothing moronic about his attempts to save her.

The fact that you couldn't decipher the simplistic plot of a man selling his soul for love really shows your epic bias. Dude, you weren't even trying to understand this movie.
