I've never dealt with Hot Toys service, I always buy their products through distributors who deal with them on my behalf when I have issues.

So it doesn't look hopeful then? I was also considering a repaint but I don't really know anyone who does them. I'd not mind paying if it was going to look better in the long run.

I'm not saying it's hopeless, just letting you know I've never dealt with them directly, since I've had options to go through authorized distributors, I just go that route because I know they'll take care of me if I have issues, I'm always shy about eBay for stuff like that, I'd rather wait a few more weeks and get it from someone I can count on rather than gamble with eBay and have trouble. Send your information to the email you were given and see what happens.

excellent video brewt1mer. figure looks awesome...i'm having a hard time making up my mind though...cancel or keep. being unemployed makes this hobby really darn hard to keep up.

Ughh, I got a chip on the nose on mine. Don't know if I should try contacting HTs to see if they'll replace it, but that could take a while to send mine off and wait for a new one (or fixed up one) and wait for them to send it back or if I should just attempt repainting it myself...

Man, this figure seems riddled with problems.

Crossing fingers mine shows up with a good paint app on the beard and problem free for scrapes like that. My luck the beard would be great but I'd have a chip and the replacement would have a crappy beard.

Really glad I'm going through Sideshow for this though, I feel safe I'll be taken care of if I have problems.

Everyone says alter ego comics has good customer service too, so I hope im covered as well. I just hate to see problems with $150 dollar figures though! You should be guarenteed a replacement for the price we pay! I hope my JC is okay! But good luck to those who werent so fortunate!

Good, I hope more people buy this one so version 2 will perhaps become more likely. They're both different outfits with presumably different accessories so I don't see why anyone should feel duped by Hot Toys into buying a first version that then becomes 'obsolete'.

This is truly a fantastic figure. Along with the T-600 I don't foresee any regret on my part for having bought it even despite my lack of love for the film.

If done properly, the second Connor should feel like Mark 2 vs Mark 3 Iron Man, same character, but two unique representations.

Yeah, that was me.

Everything went smoothly, just give them a week to reply and provide them with all the info they ask for.

My first email was sent on the 9th of August and I had the replacement in my nerdy grasp on 1st of September . Pretty quick really, as I am in Australia and the postal time alone can be more than a week.

I made the incredibly dumb mistake of buying my JC from a convention where of course you don't get receipts. I'll never buy anything expensive from a con again. I guess I'll have to attempt fixing mine myself.
