Re: Hot Toys - MMS??? - Spider-Man: Homecoming - Iron Man Mark XLVII? Speculation Thr

I like the color scheme but I'm pretty much done spending 350+ on armors. And what's that drone thing??

Me too but if it's $349.99 i'm in :lol

Yeah, that is pretty funny. If this goes up for pre order before the 30th of June. I will try to see if I can use the $50.00 coupon that I got from SSC on this.

Should be up today. Tomorrow at the latest.

Looks like Pijama Man.

Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming 1/6th scale Mark XLVII Collectible Figure.

You almost have to think if HT had a deal with Marvel and asked them to make the Mark 47 as close as possibly to the Mark 46 so they could announce the figure near the time of the release of the movie. Besides missing paint, is there anything actually different to the armor from this one and the Mark 46?

Other than the paint there is no physical change to the suit, it's exactly the same.

WHAT!? An HT Iron Man?!?!?!?!? Never thought the day would come.

I'll probably pick up the TS head and the stand when they get parted out.

Yeah, I would call that pretty quick for a die cast release.

Funny that we will get TWO IRON MAN figures (Power Pose and Diecast) from
SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING way before we get the actual SPIDER-MAN figure, lol.

Its easy when they are both straight repaints and a few new accessories

Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming 1/6th scale Mark XLVII Collectible Figure.

I also would like to get a heavy basic stand like the one that comes with this figure. The only flaw about the Mark XLVI release imo. That and the glasses of course. I still think I made the right decision to have the XLVI as the one and only Iron Man in my collection.

Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming 1/6th scale Mark XLVII Collectible Figure.

I'm forced to get it so it can go with spidey :lol

First world problems....I hope my kids one day when I'm old can appreciate all these dolls :lol

I wonder if there is something to the fact that the metallic part of the suit is pristine clean whereas the rest of the suit is tarnished. Maybe it is vibranium?!

But if you were going to make part of the suit vibranium, wouldn't you make it the vital regions like the head and the chest, the exact areas that are painted lol? Maybe this is the Mark 46 rebuilt after what went down in Civil War and Tony just didn't have enough time to finish painting it

Maybe, and this might be a stretch, but maybe it looks the way it does because the filmmakers wanted it to resemble the ultimate iron man suit in the comics :wink1:

It's a prototype.

I don't know where he would get vibranium, unless he stole it. I don't see T'Challa giving Tony any.

I suppose he may have gotten it from Sokovia after the ultron battle, but I can't imagine T'Challa being ok with that either seeing how it was all stolen in the first place.

P.S. Then again... Tony acquiring vibranium through less than honest means would make for an interesting dynamic between him and T'Challa.

I remember someone mentioning in another thread that it could be a tribute to War Machine, considering what happened to Rhodey in Civil War.
