Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming 1/6th scale Mark XLVII Collectible Figure.

Hmmm...on the fence on this one. Seems like the only figure they will make as a bookend to Spidey so that's a plus. Then again, it's a repaint and I don't buy repaints.

And I love it... It's probably the closest thing to the Ultimate armour we're likely to see at this quality. (My bank account is going to hate me.)

Re: Hot Toys - MMS??? - Spider-Man: Homecoming - Iron Man Mark XLVII? Speculation Thr

I like the color scheme also, dont know why. Ill buy it as a companion piece for Spiderman since Im not sure HT will make The Vulture.

It's a prototype.

I don't know where he would get vibranium, unless he stole it. I don't see T'Challa giving Tony any.

I suppose he may have gotten it from Sokovia after the ultron battle, but I can't imagine T'Challa being ok with that either seeing how it was all stolen in the first place.

P.S. Then again... Tony acquiring vibranium through less than honest means would make for an interesting dynamic between him and T'Challa.

What about from ultron? Ultron certainly took plenty of it. Perhaps tony repurposed it. It certainly makes some sense.

I'm super excited for this, I just hope we don't have to wait a year for its release.

Given that we've seen multiple Iron Man armors and we'll see multiple more, it definitely would stand out more if there wasn't the rush of Iron Man 3 armors which are still trickling through. I love the connection to the Ultimate Iron Man look and this has me interested:

Especially because I can display it as an "empty" armor and use the HS to kit bash a Stark, it is definitely very tempting. The thing is Diecast usually equates to $$$ so I might have to wait until the Infinity Wars version.

They already paid their designers to engineer this figure (the MK46). They already paid to have the molds and tooling produced to manufacture it. Those costs are not associated with the release of this figure. And yet...

They're charging $5 MORE for the MK47? XD

I know there are a couple of extra elements, but the cost savings on not having to design a whole figure from scratch should have at least let them match the 46's price point.

I dunno... I have the 47 PP on order, at half this price. I love the armor, and I love the 46 Diecast in hand, but I'm not sure I can justify upgrading to the MMS.

I have just about every IM figure, and at some point, there are only so many poses you can put them in anyway. Maybe if his appearance in Homecoming really warrants it, but I'm not sold yet.

the price is no surprise, ill preorder and decide before release if I want to keep the PO.

At 1st I didn't like this, and still feel it's just for merchandising since it is literally just a repaint with additional accessories. There was no need to change it. But it's starting to grow on me. I always liked the MK2 which is a solid silver. I would like to eventually get one of them, now I can't decide...

So you would just give up your NRD?

Maybe BBTS?

And that is exactly why/how companies make money ladies and gents!!

I keep noticing that members are saying that they are using their $50 promo code that they got in the mail, on the Mark 47 for instance. Does the promo code have an expiration date? I received one just yesterday and I don't remember seeing a expiration date anywhere on it

Mine showed an expiration of July 1 once I added it to my account.
