Can anyone vouch for "pushing Thor's head down" advice I've read a few times on this and another thread? Big deal or no deal?

Hmm Im still on the fence about picking up this figure. I still cant shake off the feeling that its still off somehow. I dont know perhaps its cause he looks too slim in contrast to what you would expect? My comic book store had it and even after close inspection, the unshakeable desire to take the plunge wasnt as pronounced in comparison to when I picked up Iron Man, Batman or even the Black Widow. Maybe its the costume, perhaps it just doesnt spell Thor to me.

I watched the leaked Avengers trailer today and it showed Thor wearing a sleeveless tunic, which to me looks more like the Thor I expected. So what do you think, should I just wait to see what Hot Toys does with Avengers version? Perhaps they will make him look more bulkier? Im pretty sure that Im not the only one who was or has been on the fence about this figure since it first showed up.

I am in the same boat as you except have already made up my mind to pass on this. It just doesnt look good enough at all angles to buy to me. I dont really like the look of the ultimate Thor but I am hoping for a better head sculpt with longer hair. On the other hand if they dont fix the skinny looking legs I may pass on my favorite character again.

It's a waste that this figure has that kind of a blank look to his expression...the new bruce wayne sculpt still the best among them all.

I'm being a bit of a candyass when it comes to my Thor, I think he's too skinny and I have an extra HT Ross body I was thinking about switching out. The issue is I really don't want to jack him up and have to buy replacement parts. Do you guys think his shirt would transfer over well and still be able to pose? Is his outfit easy to take apart? I just figured I'd get a few opinions and see if it's worth the risk. Thanks.

The head is set rather high on the neck when you get him so I pushed my dowe a bit and he looks far better!

I removed the neck and just rested his head on his shoulders, looks awesome!

Yeah I did that already but I'm talking about his arm size, I'm just afraid I'll rip his shirt trying to take it off and them putting it on a bigger body.

Play about with the armour and try to get it to fit more around the biceps.

I haven't seen anybody switching out the bodies and keeping the mail. I may be wrong though!

Yeah, I think you are right. Darn! Here is the picture where I saw it, and assumed it was a HT. But it looks like it is in a case with a Thor statue. Darn! Well HT can go make one now!

The perspective in this photo really messes with your head

The SS Destroyer and SS Thor in the case look like 1/6 scale figures and the 1/6 scale HT Iron Monger looks 1/4 scale in the front
