Well I was on the fence but at that price I'm out. I would rather put it towards some older figures and PF's that I missed out on.
I just don't feel like a head sculpt a new shield and a costume I really don't like is worth the price.

I mean compare this figure to some of the Predators (Which I don't collect) and its like WTF are we paying for?

HT is hoping Avengers -mania will cause wallets to open at ANY price..and I think this will be a shelf sitter just as long as the still currently available first version!

At $215, the price is pretty close to a DX figure already! Will have to pass on this figure, just have to be content with my first avengers figure I guess....

It's like a $15 difference,

WHELP!...I PO'd ol' CAP...he's one of my fav's

But due to his pricing, I'm definitely out on Hawkeye and BW both, I will DEFINITELY get HULK even though I'm sure he'll be around the $400 mark...I miiiight get THOR too if they do him justice, but Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Widow are definite passes...

Hell...with this pricing trend I'll probably only pick up Batman from TDKR HT line, and if a Ledger Joker 2.0 comes I'll pick him up

That's why I'm going the 1/4 route, for the most part, from here on out, 1/6th prices are getting higher and higher, and the gap between the two is getting smaller and smaller. I'd rather pay a bit more for something bigger and better, as it works out better for me, in the long run, anyway.

Thing is, people will complain and still buy it, if people want cheaper prices then they need to talk with their wallets.

PO'd. I wish I could raise prices this fast on my customers and have them still buy. The bubble will burst, it always does. It's only been 15 months since I purchased my first regular edition HT's and man do I already miss the $169.99 price points. Spidey was the best deal of the last 12 months too at $149.99 (those were the days). Anyway, I guess I saw this coming. I had already guessed it would be $209.99 with the additional headsculpt and two shields. So, $214.99 will have to do.

I can't afford two Caps and since I already have the TFA Captain I'll have to pass on this one. It isn't a hard decision anyway because this one looks a little cartoony to me. I will try and pick up a battle damaged shield for my TFA Cap(like everyone else) through and will probably wait for the USO version to get a better unmasked head sculpt, this teeth showing head sculpt isn't the look I want my unmasked Cap to have.

I’ll most likely pass on the Avenger Thor, and Black Widow too since I have their first versions. I’m still on the fence, but will probably fall off when the Ironman MK VII is previewed. As for Hawkeye and Nick Fury they’re already pre-ordered, and I’ve been saving all my reward points for the Hulk. I just hope HT/Sideshow offers him last so as many as my reward points become available to use as possible. I don’t think he’s going to be very cheap.

Pretty much, though i'd estimate 2 years with their tate of getting very little new franchises out

I'm not defending HT, really I'm not. The increases have been pretty crazy. But in The Avengers version, we are getting an extra shield and head sculpt. That is probably worth the extra $45 bucks(at least in parted out cost). And if you just want the Cap figure, sell off the head sculpt and extra shield. The price won't be such a hard pill to swallow. The only way people can let HT know that the prices are too steep is to not buy the figures. Which you would think they would be starting to get, since a lot of figures are still around long after release (CA:TFA I'm looking at you)

Sadly Hot Toys and Sideshow are both starting to weed me out of this great hobby. Since their addition sizes keep going up the rarity of these figures aren't enough to push me to order at these super premium prices. I will get Cap but sadly no others from the Avengers line.
