I dont like that expression, looks more constipated than angry. I don't see the value in the headsculpt.

I was expecting a 200 price tag but I was really looking forward to seeing Barney Ross's rifle which means mother set of hands to hold it and some sort of cool base! O well... maybe I'll like hot toys cap America 2 fig when that comes out.

New Goblin was a recent release, had 2 heads, and the cost was $170. He also had some fancy accessories.

I guess my POV is that this seems like a demand-driven price increase more than a cost-based increase. It is what it is.

Good point......:exactly:

Damn good point! Came with a whole lot more.

Face on the second one is totally covered it wasn't made of translucent material and hand-painted.
Costume was pretty simple and insipid too.
Actually it wasn't totally covered. His hair and forehead were painted as any sculpt would be (though I don't know if the mask was hand painted or not). Cap's masked head might also only require a small part of his face to be hand painted. And whatever you think of the outfit stylistically, it wasn't all that simple. The increase in cost for this Cap figure does appear to be more significant than would be warranted by the component parts alone. Maybe there is some additional license fee for Avengers toys, though.

just checked the specs, it says muscle body... AGAIN?

Didn't they learn from the limited posing of the TFA version that they shouldn't include a muscle body. All it does it restrict articulation for aesthetic reasons, but he isn't shirtless so theres no point

People are already complaining that he looks skinny with the muscle body, it seems like HT is in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation.

Price is sad for me, but ordered anyways.

Aw man, it's more than Fury?? :Shakes Fist @ Hot Toys:

But PO.

Curses. :(

I will get this and don´t really care how much will cost.

Also, will get another WWII version, so I display a TFA version with helmet, a TFA version with the Evans head and shooting the machine gun and the avengers-helmet version.

Yeah I'm afraid what the new TDKR figures are gonna be but this price level is insane---- I may end up paying it but other "fringe" HT releases will be easy pass.

$215 hurts but I like this figure enough to get it. Went the Flex route to buffer it out a bit.

Its a bit higher than I wanted and hoped for, but its still a PO.

I expected at least 200 but 215 damn. With that said i have it preordered looks to damn good and I have the others preordered so far.

214.99 wow. For 2 shields and a crappy headsculpt plus a shield that we dont need 2. I have TFA Cap but i still wanna get it though

DAMN, HOT TOYS HAVE REALLY GOT YOU GUYS BY THE BALLS!!!!!! :dunno :nana:

They can put him on a advanced TrueType. Articulation is plenty and far from skinny, problem solved. Hot toys should be able to figure that out if we can

It sucks that the price is so high that some won't be able to get this.

I'll be in that boat for all 1/4 scale.

But I do think its comical and sad for those that are bashing the hell out of this figure and HT just BECAUSE they can't get it.

Sorry to single you out, but NOVA, you are setting a new record for negativty about this figure on this thread. :slap

OK HT SUCKS, THIS FIGURE SUCKS. Go back to posting in th Green Lantern thread about THAT not being made and let those who want and like this figure enjoy it!

PO'D.

In the grand tradition of Marvel Comics, here's a lil' "What If?" for you Freaks...

I'm not even a grimace sculpt hater but yeah...I could go for one of these.

Looks like he's rockin' a bit of a milk mustache, but still. I don't have all day to Photoshop this stuff. :)
