I said in the Hawkeye thread each new Hot Toys release will go up in price. Got into a whole big economic discussion about oil and likeness licencing. But in the end the truth is Hot Toys is going to keep raising the price of it product as long as we keep paying it. I like the way this came out, but I think I may have to pass on it.

The same rule applies to almost everything in this world.

This is actually my plan. I want the helmet version head only. So if Jenn agrees, then I will be selling the non helmet. I don't like it, and I wont ever use it, and I'm getting broke. So might as well let it go.

Same here, will sell the Evans head and alien weapon to offset the cost.

I'm keeping the 2nd shield though.

I'll never sell my Stark/Wayne heads though.

Man, there's alot of hate for this guy's HS! C'est la internet. It's clearly the best likeness out of the three Avenger reveals so far. I think it's the expression that's throwing it off for some folks but if you seriously can't tell that's Chris Evans, then you have very poor facial recognition.

The helmet does look better than the movie shots I've seen so far. Chalk it up to HT's tendency to reduce the size of the cranium slightly. I think I know what bugs me about the design... the wings could have but raised abit more. It's a fine line between cheesy and trendy, but I wish they were a little bit bolder with the design.

Complaining about the price wont matter until we stop buying and preordering these figures... as lonsg as people pay it they will not change it.

Well Avengers Cap is an official homerun. I think Hulk will be a guaranteed smash (no pun intended) and they've got Iron Man down.

Thor will be the last official "wait and see" as far as quality. If they knock him out of the park then I'll be hard pressed to not get all four. If they mess up Thor then I'll probably just stick with Cap.

Fixed. Both Sam Jackson and Jermey's sculpt destroy this unmasked one for cap. Unless you have an actual photo of Chris Evans straining on the crapper that looks spot on to this head, I can't agree with you at all.

Hulk is gonna be a really hard sell for them,

1. If they go the rubber route they'll sacrifice articulation and the customers sick and tired of their rubber QC.
   
2. If the go the muscle body route they'll be sacrificing articulation a fair bit and those whose hate visible joints and wanted rubber will pass.

Either way they'll lose a bunch of customers and it's not like the remaining customers will all buy, what with the way HT gets diessected for accuracy and their trend of losing sales with each price increase

Some peolple moaned about the visible joints on Jake sully and the price tag, HULK's gonna have a bigger body with a bigger view of the joints and an even bigger price tag

The positive here is...... Not just a boring sculpt and a BD shield. Both things we asked for. Maybe HT's is listening.

Maybe.... "Hey Hot toys!... put a 200 dollar cap on standard 1/6 figures so we can all feel good about staying in this hobby ok?! Charge an assload for 1/4 scale stuff to supplement, you'll do alright!"

Think they heard that?
