the more i look at the hi res pics on post number 61 onwards the better this figure looks in my opinion and cant wait to have this figure at the front of my avengers line up leading the line and in other news i have only 3 days to go until i see the Avengers.

It's still one goofy-ass looking suit.

I'm a big Cpt. America fan but for $215 I'll definitely pass on this Red White and Blue clown.

this feels exactly the same as the TFA Cap thread. All kinds of hate before the film and figure came out and then once everyone saw the finished product they all loved it.

That's what happens when even though there's a bunch of footage showing how awesome it looks in action, people still focus on candid pics that were taken with camera phones

Not to mention those who take not being able to see Chris Evan's ears as a personal insult to them

The suit looks fine to me. Sure some shots look goofy but most shots it looks just fine and the figure looks equal in both regards. Can't wait to have it on the shelf.

The way things are going, we'll have a better designed suit in the next few years. While I like the FA design better, the dirty white color, the generic HS, and the QC issues with his "A" symbol have compelled me to wait and see what they did with this one. The helmet is the weakest link, but everything else flows better than the screenshots I've seen.

I'm planning on getting this one but if they can figure out a way to make the wings stand out more on the side without looking goofy, I'll gladly trade up. Let's be honest though, Captain America has one of the toughest costumes to translate faithfully. In comics all you have to do is make him look like a 6'4 bodybuilder, which Chris Evans is certainly not.

This the best I could have hoped for.

I've watched all the trailers and CAN'T WAIT to see the film. All that being said, it's translation from comic to live action was THEE LEAST successful of all the Avengers. I didn't like the suit when I saw it up close at SDCC, I thought it looked goofy in the movie stills and the action scenes in the trailers do little to change my opinion of it so far.

It wasn't until I saw HTs rendering of the suit that I finally thought, "It looks ok." I'm still hoping they will do something in post production to improve the look of it. I think full head covered suits are really hard to make look cool in live action. I think thats why they never even attempted it for Wolverine in the course of 4 movies. I just think they should/could have come up with a less quirky looking design.

Now will that hold me from buying...not necessarily. The price moreso than anything is the reason I still don't have him on order cause like I said before, HTs has seemed to make its appearance look less cos-playish...

The more posts i read, the more i feel as though i'm part of a very small minority that actually likes this costume. I dunno if it's because people are over thinking it or what, but for me, it's a comic book film and he looks like a comic book character

It doesnt bother me if producers go for realism or comic-booky (not even a word) - i just like it to fit into the context of the movie, from what's been shown so far, this suit does that

Which is why i also love the TFA suit because it fit the context of that movie and looked awesome! Whereas with Spiderman, although i have no problems design wise with Raimi's or Webb's, i just don't think they look like a kid made them, so then it doesn't really fit the movie and it always pulled me out of spiderman for that reason. They should have gone the Ultimate route where the costume is made for him professionaly

Anyway, i rattled on pointlessly there. I like this suit, i like the figure, he will be mine!

And i'm watching the Avengers on Thursday! Twice! One after the other!
