I've been through many a presale when they did that. Only once did I get sent to the waitlist and it converted later. They changed their servers years ago to handle it.

Every try getting a 250 or 500 limited item that could be bought worldwide?

I was actually a little shocked at the price, wasn't too far off from the die cast from the new film. Flinched and missed it but I'm not too upset in the long haul, although for the cost of an "exclusive" figure or "con" or "Movie Promo" or whatever you call it if I can get a diecast it puts that line into a bit better perspective.

at this thread. I missed getting the figure but not by lack of trying. I got the email but the 5 times I tried placing my order via iPhone not a one took therefore, I get the frustration of missing out. I did get one the waitlist at 9:35 the next morning so I may have a chance.

That said, if I score one I'd rather 3000 be made versus 7000. The thread turned into a punch of whiners who missed out complaining but if the shoe was one the other foot they'd prefer a truly limited release. We all know truly limited release means the value for this item will likely increase . i suspect has something to do with most of the complaining.

Kudos to all that got one and everyone else remember this is a toy move on gesh.

I have never been able to get through with my phone for a sale. I don't even try anymore. What stinks too is I can't use my phone at work. Since the kids can't have their cellphones, we can't either.

Yup. And it fkin sucks . First thing that comes to mind is the eFx ESB Luke helmet. Missed that one and had to pay the piper. My bottom still hurts when I think about it but it feels all better when I stare at the helmet

5000 Mark VII BD's at $200 or 3000 at $300...in the end they got close to the same amount..with having to do less. With the lower number to sell it increases and buzz and urgency in collectors to get them...if this thing was going to go up with a large number available..people would sit on it and wait to PO..some maybe not at all.

I agree with you on several points. I myself wanted this figure either way. I am one that would have bought it if it were limited and or a regular standard release.
I wanted the price to be 250 at most. When it went up, and was 300, I just decided that disappointment with the price now would be a lot better then the disappointment with the aftermarket price later.
