I do not know which is the worst sin. The fact he had that many, or that people actually paid him a premium. That probably was the least successful predator they ever put out. I'd say that perceived value went down rather quickly in the coming months.
Excellent point. The analogy was spot on too. Cars, baseball cards, things of perceived value to people will ultimately drive the market for these items. One way or the other.
I'm pretty sure the guy covered his loss with the TF batman's he sold.
Depends when he sold them. That TF batman didn't catch legs until last year or so. It could be had for under 300 for a long time. And it retailed for about 225-250 if I am not mistaken. The broken ankles is what is driving the prices up on that figure now. It had a healthy release about 9-10,000 if I am not mistaken. It's one of the few releases HT actually gave a number for.
