That would defeat the purpose of a limited edition. If they suddenly decide to make thousands more (it would actually take thousands more copies for all of the people who missed out to get one) then you can be sure a lot of people who ordered would be cancelling.

Well thats the HT way of 'Limited Edition' :lol

Thats why they didnt put any numbers this time around, unlike the mark vi promo which had the 3000 worldwide.

The internet can be a weird place. Especially those who trawl through dating and social media sites nicking photos. Flickr has been terrible for that.

You're right, I give people online too much credit and assume that they're truthful. I guess I can be naive in that way. I didn't even wrap my brain around the existence of that type of nonsense until I saw Catfish. I stand corrected :peace

I got my email on 3:04pm while driving and my cell phone ringed. I opened it up while driving, pulled over at the next exit, parked in the gas station, and started the process. My fingers were trembling trying to do everything right. I shortly got an email confirmation from Sideshow as 3:09pm. I wish I would have done this kind of cell phone method when I first started collecting and kept on losing out on EX stuff. This is now the best method in my opinion even though I put myself in danger because I happen to be driving while the PO went up and just had to get it in now!

ANYWHERE! ANYPLACE! ANYTIME!

I got the email on my phone. I clicked on it thinking it was just another email for some other product I was not interested in ordering. Once I saw it was for this BD Iron Man I initially started to order it on my phone but switched to my laptop instead. I am much better using a keyboard instead of a phone's touch screen. I was in so much of a hurry I forgot my sideshow log in info. Got a error message and quickly checked my notes for my sideshow info. Logged in a finalized my order.

You do realize that most of HT figures are considered limited editions?

If someone cancels this simply because it's not as limited as they thought, then they shouldn't have gotten it in the first place.

This was confirmed?

Yup, it's right there on the bottom right corner.

Actually half the people crying here because they did not get one would quickly lose interest if HT announces they will open this up and sell as many as people order.

And the people who PO this in order to flip for some profit would cancel their order. That would mean that the real fans who wanted this would get it, and HT would get more sales. Seems like a better end result to me.

:slap here we go with the "real" fans vs. "flipper" fans comments.

As long as this sells out Ht's and SS could give 2 ****s.

It would be a better end result for the majority of people but HT would never be able to hype another figure as extremely limited again.

Same. I was at happy hour Friday at 5:30. Got the buzz for the email on my iPhone and checked because I just had a feeling it would go up for sale that day. I clicked the link and was done in about 2 minutes and back to beer. I checked the site a couple hours later and was surprised it was still available. Just glad I got one but with how bad AT&T service can be at times I was kind of lucky.

Wholeheartedly agree Malgus! I wish people would just enjoy convo about how BA this figure is!! All that Battle Damage just looks fantastic!

I always find the concept of scalping in this particular hobby and people saying real fans get shafted with limited releases all the time holds little merit.

In my opinion you would be hard pressed to find many flippers/scalpers that are willing to invest the kind of cash these collectibles cost and the ability to aquire the number of figures to make it worthwhile.

The biggest "scalpers" to use the term I see are the same ones offering up the figures through distribution. Look at BBTS or other larger distributors, they offer a discount until products are in stock, then they jack the price up to going market. Some would argue these places are for the "real fans" but they raise prices for profit just as many around here define scalpers. Yet we still buy from these places. Look at retailers on eBay, same deal. Low entry costs till figures get hot then they raise the prices.

It would be interesting, but I bet most scalping goes on by the real fans that know what figures are hot and know when and how to aquire them.

People that are strapped for money and would like to have more figures. Should they be faulted for flipping a BD iron man mark vii for example to pay for a wolverine and a Spider-Man if those are their favorite characters?

Be interesting to hear some comments on this from others.

Food for thought.
