I wonder if I could trade mine for a bunch of less popular Hot Toys releases, like a red skull, black spidey, Loki, or New Goblin.

I really want this release, don't get me wrong, but I like those other ones too.

Because he resells for his personal profit. Nothing else. That's why he doesn't open a seperate paypal and ebay account when I already have one that's been verified for years.

Why do you think I bought all my mark suits from members here on the site? Including the Mark VI which he sold on the account for $500. I still mine as well.

getting deeper with every word!!!

So the buyer thinks he is buying from you as the registered user, but they are actually buying from someone else.

Sorry mate, that's complete BS. The deeper you get the sillier all of this sounds, and the shadier.

:exactly:

Post is not to short

I'd be interested in buying this figure from a fellow 'freak', it doesn't look like I'll be able to buy this from a UK seller so paying an inflated fee is going to be my only way anyway and I'd rather do so with someone who seems trust worthy rather than a nameless individual on eBay

You'd be buying from a guy who got more than ten, who uses a genuine guy's Ebay account(Who got two for himself, but *isn't* trying to flip them, no way, no sir), has no account of his own, and merely USES the second guy's Ebay account.
It's all above board...
But very underhanded...

Assuming your friend is real, she/he is an @sshole, which doesn't speak well of you for associating with someone like that. If you really are telling the truth concerning this whole debacle, then it would be for the best to disassociate from that person, or at the very least, attempt to straighten things out with her/him. I tend to give others the benefit of the doubt, but I can't stand people who don't look out for their friends. Personally, if I know I can't have a person's back, then I'm not her/his friend, 'cause I don't deserve to be.

sounds like maybe someone should call homeland security. sounds like terrorism plotting to me. undermining the collectibles trade to smuggle in who knows what type of alien weaponry. :panic::panic::panic:

While I'm here if anyone has one of these figures for sale by all means send me a PM :)

i am also looking. didn't want to deal on ebay with the entire amount up front. would rather deal with a freak but after seeing that cancer dealing 10, i'm not really sure here is any safer. :thud:

I am a ebay seller as well. and you have to be US verified to sell with the account you are listing as in Flushing, NY. So you are recieving the paypal funds as a US Seller (or your girlfriend's beauty salon). So you are working middle man at best as your "Friend" sells 10 Mark VI BD figures.

You and I posted a while back the the best and biggest scalpers are always the fans and collectors themselves.

I think it's shady too, but it is jut part of the problem with this hobby. You have high demand and short supply for a luxury item none of us really need.
We stroke our own egos when we obtain one, but the reality is that we the fans are what breed the scalpers.

It's like drug dealers. There wouldn't be any if there were not drug users.

It sucks and is a ****ty thing, but it is reality.

You are actually safer on Ebay then a private Paypal transaction. At least the buyer is protected on Ebay, and the funds can be refunded to you if what you receive is not what you paid for.
I know most folks on here are legit, but if you want buyer protection, then buy on Ebay. The other part of this advice is never buy from a preorder on Ebay and always research and communicate with the seller you plan on buying from.

Isn't the whole reason they pull pre-orders down due to the fact that, more often that not, by the time the item ships it's past the time window to file a complaint?

Edit: Yep, you have 45 days from the date the listing closes to file a claim. By the time this thing ships, it will be far past that and you face the real possibility of being screwed. https://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/business-protection-claim.html

exactly my point. to pre-order this on ebay, you'd need deep pockets and a huge leap of faith. but a moot point now that ebay will only allow auctions with a deposit. balance due before shipping. to be honest, that is the correct way to allow these sales. that way if the guy scams you, you only have to worry about a deposit.
