It looks like it connects to the front of the chest armor so that would have to be removable too. Hard to tell from pics what those pieces will look like when removed. It looks like the helmet is unmodded so i'll just pick up a spare chest armor from TA in case there's a glaring hole when the pack and tube are removed.
Yeah part of the buy factor for me. Better than those little blasters the normal stormtroopers carry. Plus the fact he can become a standard if you so desire.Interesting guns these have

I really can't decide on this figure. One day I'm thinking about cancelling my pre-order, the next I'm thinking I need two of them.
The blue base looks nice, fits this figure well.
Those "little" blasters in real life were heavy as hell And they are some of the most iconic things from Star Wars.
I'm with you loki. Makes him look different and more interesting. But depends on if your collecting all or just ones you like of course.I'm assuming he meant the small one handed blaster that was never seen on screen but only in movie promo shots, not the iconic blaster used onscreen by every stormtrooper. And it does come with that. I like the big blaster it comes with. Looks way cooler than the standard big blaster.

I'm not sure. He said: "those little blasters the normal stormtroopers carry" - those are the E-11, the SE-14r small pistol is not normally seen except a couple promo shots. I don't mind a figure coming with more than one blaster/gun. Anyway I didn't say I don't like the big gun, see post #484
