Wont lie I walked out of Imax thinking not all that much of Prometheus... Sorry to say at that time and I saw it on opening Friday thought the movie would bomb... This coming form a huge fan of Alien trilogy witch has owned the VHS the DVD and now Blu Ray sets of all the films... It wasnt until I watched Prometheus again on Blu Ray with commentary by Ridley Scott that I really understood what he was after with it... That or Im a pink floyd fan and he talks about filtering in Dark Side of the Moon at one point on the set... Not sure witch it is but after watching it a third time with no commentary its found a place in my Blu Ray collection... Not sure Id spend $$$ like Hot Toys wants to buy figures form it though...

When I'm done with Batman and Avengers, the only HT lines I'll be interested in are Pirates OTC and Prometheus. So, if HT doesn't work this line they won't be getting my money. I hope they do, but if not I'll stick to SS SW figures.

Never know.. they might go the Green Lantern route and just cancel the line since the movie was a flop.

It was the 10th highest earning rated-r film ever....not such a flop. Its also getting a sequel which shows that it made a reasonable amount of money.:yess:

Yep. The movie was NOT a flop. Also, notice how heavily the studio is spending on ads for the Blu-Ray.

Why the account change?

Just cause :)

I know that but it was just because I got blocked from someone and I wanted to talk to them so I could be cool with him again. (Its sounds kinda stalkerish I know but that was what I had to do.)

No clue where you got that, but it's flat out wrong. Prometheus is actually at 335 for All Time Domestic, 155 for All Time Worldwide and 59 for R Rated movies and 200 for adjusted rates. :slap

It's supposed to get a sequel. Lot's of movies were supposed to get sequels and never did. We'll see.

The movie was NOT a flop.

It failed domestically, that's a fact. Not opinion.

The budget was $130 million (which doesn't include marketing/promotion) and it only made $126,477,084 here. And that's gross i.e. Fox did NOT get 100% of that.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

They openly say in the making of documentary that they knew as soon as they went with the R rated cut they would be losing out on millions at the box office. For once Fox deserves some credit for allowing the director to show his vision (only because it was Ridley I'm guessing). They knew they were going to take a big hit at the box office before it's release. A PG-13 cut would have sucked too.

Prometheus beat TDKR and The Avengers at the Box Office, and is the number one film in the universe. :confused

This is Common's knowledge.
