You took the words out of my mouth.
After the film my friends and I had a debate over what was the best Marvel movie ever, came down to Iron Man versus Spider-Man 2.
We might have a new champion.

Favreau can direct any comic book movie he wants in my opinion. Does the Superman Returns sequel have a director yet?

I think it's col that Favreau played Stark's body guard...

and also liked that Tony Stark mistakened a certain someone as Hugh Hefner.

Good ol Stan Lee I love it how he is included in heaps of Marvel films its a good way to pay homage to Stan :rock:rock:rock

FYI... one of the actual movie suits is currently on display at the Arclight Cinema in Hollywood:

That suit pic looks like a 1/6 scale figure.:lol Hopefully HT can make it look just like that with lights and everything.

That thought kept running thru my mind as I was watching the movie. I was thinking how sweet this movie is how sweet it'd be if HT could make a figure with all the bells and whistles. Lights in the chest, eyes and hands.

Now that quite a lot of us have seen it what do you think the best moment in the film is???
I would have too say when he uses the Mark 3 for a proper first time and Stark is flying around defeating the terrorists and he shoots that little missile at the tank it bounces off and then kaboom great stuff :joy:joy:joy
I also liked the parts when he was testing the Mark 2 "Power Off" and he falls through 2 floors of his house and too top that part off his little robot mate uses the fire extinguisher on him :lol:lol great stuff, great movie

GREAT MOVIE!!! loved it and will see it again. my favorite scene was when the afganis were using the villagers as human shields and tony targets them all with lasers and they all get hit and fall at the same time. classic!!!!

unfortunately i forgot there was a scene after the credits until i was in the car. can anyone tell me what it was? thanks.

The scene after the Credits was Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) asking Tony if he knows about the Avengers Initiative :horror This could be a lead on too a whole new film franchise??? :naughty

Saw Iron Man tonight. Loved it. But I'd already seen it, I just didn't know it yet. Here is the problem with modern movie advertising campaigns... Too many clips, too many different versions of the trailer, TV spots... all that stuff. I saw the movie tonight and I've seen it already... Any of you who have watched all the internet clips etc, You've all seen it, and you know you have and you will be that little bit disappointed as I was. Not because the movie wasn't good, but because you've already seen most of the "so money" scenes...

As of this day forth I will not watch any clips for up and coming movies bar the cinema released trailers! Because everything else spoiles the the movie/cinema/1st viewing experience!:angelsmil

I completely disagree with this. There was so much more to the story than they showed in the trailer. What an awesome movie. I rarely see movies on openingday due to the ridiculous madhouse that some moviefans make it. But because there was so many theaters showing it on the 1st, I decided to give it a chance. The crowd was not too bad (my 3-year-old daughter may have been the most disruptive person in the theater). And we barely got seats 3 rows from the front where all 5 of us could sit together, but it was still awesome! The portrayal of Tony Stark by RD Jr. really stood out. And the cameo by Stan Lee as Hugh Hefner was hilarious! I will be seeing it in the theaters again before too long.
