Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

That's such a fan fake its unbelievable.

That crossed my mind, could be a possibility.

But if it's legit, then I see 2 possibilities.

"I am the one you thought I would be from the start".

1. Since the 1st demo, when BB said: "Kept you waiting huh?" We ALL thought it would be David Hayter the one who would be voicing snake, but his voice is not in a variety of animated media.

2. Then, when we knew Hayter was out, the immediate second guess of most was Richard Doyle, and he in fact has been in a **** ton of productions.

So, my guess is Richard Doyle. :dunno

I think Kojima is exceeding with his puzzles this time, getting real tired of your **** Kojima.

As much as id like it to be, it aint gonna be Hayter. If it is, considering his criptic Tweet the other day ("I know things about things you know nothing about.") i think he's reprising his role for that Rising DLC. Confirming he will return in future for Solid Snake.

Im fine with BigBoss having a new VA, the one in the gameplay vid sounds decent. Hayter = Solid Snake

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Could be Hayter, who knows? Wouldn't be the first time he made "home movies" :lol

What a gem that is :lol

I love when Paul is like "I supported them for four games, I'm finished." And Quinton saying "I'm running around and I don't even have any junk and I'm not anatomically correct." :rotfl

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

wether it's fake or not, time will tell

no Gaming Channels said anything regarding that video.

So it's either Fake.. or only David Hayter doing the Stunt & that Kojima has nothing to do with it

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I think Hayter isn't in MGS5 at all, there is no point in voluntarily creating all this negative heat for a game.

Eww.

VR missions? Not the regular game? Or is the Japanese Integral edition?

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Yay VR Missions! :yess: But whe's Portable Ops?? Sorry, I know I'll get put down for this but I really liked Portable Ops. It was a humble, yet sober title when you compare it to Peace Walker.

MPO > PW. No denying it since MPO actually moved the Big Boss story forward. And I will give Big Boss a pass on crying about the Boss in it since it was the first sequel to Snake Eater. And it had a child Gray Fox in it, what more can you want?

What's wrong with Ash's work? It's pretty amazing.

Story-wise maybe, for me PW is still better, PO felt so stale, well not stale, but not as compelling as PW's, PW moved BB story arc forward a lot, It may not have added much character development but PO added even less to none at all, PW at least deepened in the story a little further than PO, so, I do deny it bro haha.

Gameplay-wise, PW>>>>>>PO.

I hope that the two digital graphics novels from Ashley Wood includes Bande Dessinee 2 (the MGS 2 DGN). That was never voiced over in English, nor officially released in North America.

I didn't like the storyline with super-powered AIs, but PW was loads of fun - especially with Monster Hunter and EX Ops missions. My PSP was essentially a paper-weight until PW came along :lol.

I got to disagree, the story as a whole moved forward in MPO. PW was just ridiculous to me. Especially the whole AI thing and bringing he Boss back as a AI was retarded. The whole South America Che Guevara thing was very boring to me.

The technology was just too advanced for the 70s. Granted, that MGS tech is very advanced in all of the Solid games. It's very hard to gauge how the future will turn out, and essentially, Kojima has been writing a storylines that are grounded in science fiction.

The Shagohod in MGS 3 did seem like something that could be achieved in the 60s, since it was just a giant threaded tank with rocket propulsion. But, jump forward 10 years later to Peace Walker, and there are all of these advanced Star Wars-like AI systems. Give me a break.

Well at least we can agree on that, my PSP didn't see any action either until I got PW, I tell you, over 100hrs playing that thing, developing, sending teams to battlefields, going to the beach with Paz only to realise that BB was a paedophile :lol

Mhm well, different tastes, but you have to admit that PW was fun as **** to play.

Absolutely. Of all the critiques I have on the game, I've always thought the COOP was stellar.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I'm having a lot of fun with Peace Walker. Makes me look forward to Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain even more.

After I got Kojima's signature on my copy of Peace Walker, I didn't play any other game that entire summer. I think SOLIDSNAKE (aka. Knightslade2007) was playing it for months on end, too :lol

It was definitely one the most ambitious projects attempted by KojiPro, and the massive amount of content is proof enough. The Kaz scenes were creepy as hell, too. Did you ever try lying down on Kaz after knocking him unconscious? The codec replies are hilarious :rotfl
