Who was deceiving the twins? Ultron, he was pulling the strings, and it almost worked. He's playing on the twins emotions, and having them turn against the avengers, that is what a villain does he uses them for his own end. It's not all about doing it himself, but using others to do it for him. This has been used by other villains is well, deceiving them to do their dirty work, and the twins were Ultron's puppets. Go look at the emperor and sauron, they used this kind of deception, tricking them there would be a better tomorrow


Again within that first hour Ultron had beaten the avengers, using the twins has his puppets. Ultron's got the vision body all set to complete his victory, but like every villain there was a weakness, and the twins were ultrons ace in the hole was what unrivalled Ultron's unstoppable plan, which would have worked if Ultron played his cards closer to his chest

I forgot to mention Loki ripped the Avengers apart to the point they were fighting each other. Stark vs Rogers in the woods and almost again on the carrier ('put on the suit!' ); Hulk trying to kill BW in the helicarrier; Hulk vs Thor in the helicarrier; etc. So Loki didn't just unite them as previously mentioned.

Well he Tricked them into thinking we will have a better world without the avengers, they speak about this at the church, when they find out Ultron wants to not only end the avengers, Ultron has bigger plans . You say well they wanted to end the avengers anyway, yes in a way, but no question Ultron is taking advantage of the twins anger towards the avengers, he gives them the platform, and he tricks them so he can push his plans a step further. You cannot deny the fact he's using them for him to evolve into something more

During the download when she looks into his mind and wants an explanation, her exact words were ( You said we would end the avengers, make a better world) so she seems shocked when his better world is human extinction, so they were tricked by Ultron

It goes against his DNA, if he wanted the avengers dead who I would argue have some very powerful hero's, Bruce, Thor, captain America, then I don't see the twins any different

He used the ultimate manipulation tactic, and I do think he intended to leave them to die on earth with the rest of them. Once he got what he wanted, no one could stop him

I say this, would he save them? None of them can fly, yes they were the next stage, but was Ultron vision was the next stage of evolution. I think he knew deep down the twins would not agree with his end of the world plans, if they agreed? that would have been a bonus for him

The twins would not have done it without Ultron, that is why They joined Ultron

That does not prove your point what so ever, he added nothing? He added plenty, and still was one of MCU's greatest villains.

He served as a punching bag for Iron man, the twins did all the damage to the team, its not even clear that Ultron was responsible for the whole meteor Idea and construction because the plot was so bad, Ultron should have been a global threat, he barely threatened a city, it was underwhelming and lackluster
