Man I liked the Mk III, until the MkVII came out. Then the Mk 43 came out and I liked that, then the Mk45...now Mk46 is my fav!...
So the saying goes:

There is some truth to that. But if the Mk45 goes on sale at BBTS I might bite...but right now the Mk46 visually is may fav.

However - HB trounces all!

I'm having a terribly tough time deciding which suit I like more...the 45 or the 46. Obviously I'm getting both figures, but I can't quite determine which suit looks better. :lol

i'm getting both as well. for me it comes down to the face mask. i like the 45's face mask much more than the 46. the 45's just looks kind of mean. i'm not a huge fan of the panel line placement on the 46's mask. once you get by the masks, they're both pretty even for me. i like the shapes around both chest reactors, i love that the 46 has all of the LED's, i love the different design features of the 45.. so.. i'm really happy i don't have to decide between the two.

That's hilarious! I'm only getting one. Only have room for one Iron-Man in my collection. Decisions decisions!

If I get both I can only send my favorite child to college.

Best of both worlds. You fulfill your desire as a parent to help 1 child go to college, but you do the other child a favor by showing them the real world sooner. Plus you'll get both IM. Wins all around! Lol

You're not lying. The latest Mark always becomes the one to have. I can't wait for the 45 but it already feels like I'm doing wrong by him with my wandering eye on the 46 lol.

The Mark VI trounces hype though that'll always have a place in my heart.

Guess I'm strange, I don't care if somethings new or not. There's always going to be another so that seems like a strange way to collect. Never enjoy them. The next ones up and for sale before you even get the last one. But I guess that's just me. The mk6 is still my favorite, but the 45 is a close second. The 46 is nice but it's not even top five for me.

It's a cool suit though.

whenever i see a new one.. my thought is always "wow this will look great with the others".. so, i never get the "oh darn, this is already old" feeling because i just feel like the next one up is going to improve the overall look of the collection.

now, that doesn't mean each new one won't be my new favorite because it seems like they continue to improve the looks of each armor in my opinion.

Yeah I never feel like any of them look "old." I just think some can start to look a little dated. But out of all the Marks that's have released, in my eyes that only applies to the original Mark III and some of the older headsculpts like the Mark 1 1.0. Otherwise, I think they all still look great and hold their own.

I don't need to have a "favorite" per se. But I'd be lying if reveals of new Marks didn't excite me.

So, does that make you Dr. Strange? LOL

I feel exactly like you do, wow! You took the words right out of my mouth. Loved VI the most, XLV is now close second, VII maybe third and XXXIII maybe fourth...

Just don't tell my VII and XXXIII what I just said..

Throwing in my opinion into the mix. I prefer the 46 over the 45, they both share the same design language but I find the 46's evolution to be visually more appealing. The inverse trapezoid chest RT and the extra lights also make it more unique compared to previous armors. Small disclaimer, I don't like either armor enough to want to buy a figure for them, but if I had to choose, the 46 gets my vote.

I haven't seen CW yet so don't know what new features are in store (if any) for the 46, but what also hurts my opinion of the 45 is that it didn't do anything new in AoU vs the 43.

Agree whole-heartedly with that. Watching the 45 simply fly around the rising city for half of the battle was a letdown. I'm getting it because I think it's a bad*** looking armor, not for anything cool it did in the movies. I really do hope the 46 has some awesome battle scenes in CW.

While way too brief, love the dogfight between Mk 45, WM and Ultron sentries as Stark tried to figure out how to solve the flying city problem.

It wasn't HPP in terms of being forgettable, but it definitely didn't have scenes as memorable as some of the others have had. It did look very cool though.

Despite its limited screen time, I think the Mk 45 is awesome looking. I wouldn't really consider it a memorable armor though. I think the Mk 46 will probably be more memorable than the 45.

Urgh - price listings are up on UK supplier websites for the mk46, we're basically looking at £300 which based on today's exchange rate is about $430. I guess the slight cost reduction over the mk45 isn't being passed on to us lowly consumers...

UK retailers always charge extortionate amounts, which is why I buy from China.

Get both? Beside....there a year away. :lol

Yeah, for me, if I was interested in multiple Iron Man figures, the mains are about a year apart, so there is plenty of time to pay for them... it's the HPP and the special editions and the diecast remakes thrown in the middle that might spice the finances up a bit.

But for the cost per figure of Iron Man vs the rest, I really don't want to be buying other suits on top of my 43.. and I'll be honest, seeing the difference between the quarter and sixth scale... for the cost of getting the sixth scale in this part of the world, I might as well throw in a few hundy more and get the quarter.. I'm happy to stick with a quarter and sixth scale of one representation of Iron Man for now, aside from a couple of classic HOA displayed diecast remakes should they be made.

It's not like the 43 had a ton of screen time.

Anyway..another pic of the 45 from the Marina Bay sands event. If you compare this to the last one I posted you can tell the color isn't a product of light. This one has a different flash and natural light. I know there where some comments it was maybe the lights. So..

Yes that sums it up- new Mk thrown in for really NO reason....love how Mk VII was used in Avemgers and Mk 43 in AoU but this one sort of popped up for no reason. Like Thor's hot tub dip.:rotfl
