I like the last page. I am more of a realism fan. I don't like the cartoon (can't think of another word to describe the top on, cartoon isn't right) look. I'm a Jim lee fan. And Gabe Dell'otto. Those are my style preferences. But I don't mind other stuff. Just not my top choice. I don't like overly simplistic or anime stuff tjough

If you're a fan of realism, check out the comics and covers Marko Djurdjevic did for Marvel before leaving to start his own production house, SixMoreVodka.

Massive poster he did of classic and modern Iron Man mixed together a few years back.

I guess we should try and drift back onto topic - how does everyone feel about the Mk 45 so far just based on appearance? Personally I think it's looking like one of the best armours visually since Iron Man 2. Very sleek and modern, but with that classic Iron Man flair about it at the same time.

Sick poster! :rock

Would rep you again but I can't. :lol

As for the 45, it's looking smexy as hell in CGI. No doubt it will be a fan favorite as soon as the film releases.

It's the thought that counts :lol

Yeah, I think it's going to be the Mk VII all over again - except I never liked the Mk VII all that much, but this one I really do. Already got the Bandai SHF preordered, looking forward to seeing the Hot Toys version.

That said I think it's going to take a while - Marvel apparently have gotten into the habit of not giving their merchandising licensees full knowledge of what's going to be in the films to avoid preorder solicitations ruining the surprise. Wouldn't shock me if HT are only now in the planning phase for this figure and we don't see or hear anything about it until after the film's been and gone.

I got this for you! :lol That poster is wicked cool!

And to remark on the 45, that is so far looking to be my favorite of the newer suits.

Awesome poster! And I think mk45 is going to be our new favourite armor (but I'm not leaving my mk43 1/4 behind lol)

That poster is fantastic. I'll have to check out his stuff. Chances are I've got some of his work. Just need to get through all the stuff I've missed. I bought it all (have regular pulls I pick up at my LCBS despite still being years behind in actual reading)

As for the 45(it's funny this is still not news about the 45, as he was wanting, just opinions on a different old subject, news comes from official hot toys site, and is always/usually in the first post/page the rest is just random talk..anyway...)..... The 45 looks good based on what has been shown publicly. But that's really not much. A few seconds from the front view walking. I see a lot of people commenting that it's sleek and slender and better proportioned. Not sure how you can tell that. From my point of view, and what I have seen, I really like this armor. Probably top 3. But it's much larger/thicker then most. Looks more like Thor in a suit (or hemsworth) then stark (RDJ). Much larger/wider torso and arms. Has a feel of an actual metal suit opposed to a guy in fiberglass. More believable he has rockets and electrical wires, and servos under the skin. I also like the coloring so far.

I'm really surprised you don't think highly of the Mk 7, that's a very popular armor.

I think that surprises everyone, but I've just never liked the thing. I started warming up to the Hot Toys figure because of the sheer volume of stuff it comes with and the air brakes, but overall I don't care for the design. Oddly enough I do really like the Midas version, though. It seems to work really well in those colours.

It's a safe bet that Bandai had access to 3D data from Marvel for making their Mk 45, they did with the Mk 42 - so on that basis what you see there is, more or less, what the actual suit should look like. Obviously take into account they probably changed some parts for articulation purposes, but the outline is there. Agree on the colouring, that deep red/gold is classic Iron Man. Nice return to form after the explosion in a paint factory that was the House Party suits.

Gotcha. I find that interesting b/c the Mk 7 design is very similar to the Mk 4 suit which is one of the most iconic figures in the entire Iron Man line. Do you dislike the Mk 4 as well?

If there weren't any rubber elbows on mk7 I would've gotten the stealth version. Alas.

Idk why but I just have a feeling the articulation on the HT 45 will be really good. Hopefully its not part of the diecast line

What I never liked about the Mk 7 figure was the skinny elbows, like how does he even fit his arm in there?. Yeah, also the elbow being rubber, im glad they switch to plastic with the new armors.

I keep a close eye on the elbows on my MK7 and Midas with no issues so far. Hope that Stealth will be the same.

I agree. They did a good job with it, but it was a little thin. Could've used a bit more bulk. Which is strange because their statue of the MK7 is spot on.

I believe hot toys did a life size of the MK7. Or was supposed to. I remember seeing pictures of it a few months after the Avengers came out. I don't remember if they actually released it or if it was just a one-off.
