Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

To be honest too... at least there is some design variety in many of those cameo suits with nicknames... Don't get me wrong, as much as your III, IV, VI, VII are all significant movie-verse suits, there isn't a lot to seperate them...

I find all of the house party protocol suits to be far more interesting than the earlier version in Iron Man 1 & 2..., I will be getting a mark III when the diecast figure comes out but at the moment that'll be the only proper red/gold Iron Man figure I own.

I'm not a fan of Hulkbuster. Easy pass for me.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

Well I'm SOLD Hope it's not too much but know it will be worth it. I hope other companys attack this hulkbuster and release him like neca for a cheaper version which pretty sure there will be many Hulkbuster's would be pretty cool to have double's of this Amazing Beast.

I seriously hope its nothing like NECA. I opened an Arkham Origins Batman and found it to be way too "toyish". I have no experience with HT, but Im hoping this comes out with more of a PF kinda quality if you know what I mean.

Video of the life size Hulk Buster they had on display, the 1/6th is next to it, but thought you guys might want to see some people next to it for comparison of size

And another one of just the 1/6th

I love it.

I'm sure someone's already pointed this out, but back when I played games I was big into Starcraft. Hulkbuster looks just like a Terran Space Marine...maybe a Terran Firebat...anyway...

I love it. What a beast.

Funnily enough they are making new Starcraft collectibles, when I got the newsletter the other day it made me think of the Hulkbuster figure. lol :)

wow! budget stark's video on his general trip has an aerial view of the Hulkbuster and a shot of the Hulk. Hulk definitely looks smaller. I'd say by a few inches. I'm definitely getting this and I think it may be below 1000. It's massive but it seems to have less mechanics built in.

It's 4" smaller. :) The Hulk is 18" & the Hulkbuster is 22". :)

So did hot toys do an actual reveals?

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

It's hard to get a true feel for how big this HT HB suit is. In one picture a guy has his hand gripping the boot so assuming that's about 3-1/2 to 4" per hand and around 7 hands high, then my guess is 25-28" tall. The problem with that is that the full sized one on display was supposedly 9 foot tall which would make a 1/6 scale version 18" tall. Clearly this thing is way bigger than 18" tall.

As far as price goes, the Mark XXXVIII IGOR that I have on order is over $500 US and is 16.5" tall. My guess on the price is north of $1000. and possibly closer to $2000. Whatever, I'm sold. Unless it is a stratosphericaly (new word there?) ridiculous price (as if between $1000-2000 isn't already crazy!) it will be mine bwahahaha. I definitely need an intervention as I've gone batdoodoo crazy collecting these figures.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

As much as HT would LOVE to charge $1,000 for this it won't be that much. You can relate the larger vehicles they have produced as comparable manufacturing and costs. The tumbler and the 89 batmobile are large items with design and panel processing. The 89 cockpit was highly detailed and both batmobiles have lighting features (cheaply made though). The delorean is much more detailed than either of the batmobiles and is coming in under $700. $749.99 would be the most expensive thing they ever sold for the marvel/dc type collectibles. Thatis 50% more than Igor in price just to qualify that.

While I don't think this will be $500, it will be closer to that than $1,000 not including shipping when we get a preorder release me thinks.
