Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

I think it will be sooner than later for PO just so we have enough time to sell body parts to come up with the money for this. But I doubt we will have it in hand until 2016

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

Sounds like a good plan. I know from opening the Mark VII Legendary scale that broke that it is a lovely piece. Supposedly the folks at Sideshow personally inspected the replacement, so hopefully it's A-OK. I'll find out Wednesday. I have a few things scheduled to arrive in January, Batman 89 1/4 scale, HT's Iron Man Mark XXXVIII Igor, and hopefully Iron Patriot 1/4 scale. It'll be like Christmas all over again.:)

BTW if IGOR arrives in January (they keep moving the date) that'll be 15-16 months since I ordered it. Going by that time frame, I don't see the Hulkbuster being shipped until early 2016.

That legendary scale Iron Man statue looks stunning, if I had a spare $2,000.00 going then I'd love to buy one myself, it'd be the best Iron Man collectible to own short of being able to have a 1:1 scale suit of course. ;) I think Igor will be out next month now as they've done all of the packaging for it, so it must be ready for shipping soon I'd say..., my retailer also had a new in stock date given to him from his supplier & it's March, that'd be about right if Sideshow start shipping in January. Sounds like you've got a lot of lovely things coming next month..., don't forget to take pictures & fingers crossed for your legendary scale Iron Man turning up undamaged.

I'm okay with that

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

The 1/6 HT's Mark XLIII was available for pre-order about two days after pictures were shown online, so hopefully in a few days we'll have the price for the Hulkbuster. I wish they would hurry up so I can order it. As they say: "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"

I hope we'll know the price soon, it sounds from all of the guessing going on as if it could either be reasonable or shocking, it'll be nice just to know how much they want for it plus see some promotional pictures too. :)

oh please let there be a HB vs Hulk promo pic

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

It's going to be funny when this get released and people try to take pics of HB vs Hulk. Most locked up pics I predict will make them look like they are slow dancing. :lol

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

I still find it hard to truly judge his size. Some pictures make him look like only 15", similar to Hulk almost, and others make him look like he's 2.5 feet tall. I need to see him next to something else that's giant, something like G1 Transformers Fort Max. At least I can compare and judge the size properly that way.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

Somewhere a few pages back someone gave the cm height that converts to 22". Not sure where they got it, but it was repeated. Hulk is def 18". You can pull the specs on any Ht or SS. figure on the SS webpage.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

The Avengers Hulk is very similar in height to Monger, so close to 18 inches. It's taller than Sideshow's listed height of 16.5 inches. The early estimate is HB will be about 22 inches tall.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

You know I had my eye on john matrix, the delorean and Robocop battle damaged but I think ill scupper all of those and get this awesome figure instead. Its just epic in size and detail.

So if 1/6 scale is 22" that would mean a 1/1 Hulkbuster as shown would be 11 foot tall and yet it was reported to be 9 foot tall. Okay I'm confused as that 1/6 Hulkbuster looks taller than 22" imo.

22 inches is pretty close. I don't think it's much bigger. That's nearly two iron men on top of each other. It's the overall bulk that helps make it look bigger. And the 1:1 looks around 10-11ft tall. 9ft tall is lower then an a basketball rim. I don't think it's that small.

I'm just going by what was reported re: the 1/1. Also there is a picture of a guy's hand grabbing the ankle of the Hulkbuster, (which is what makes me think it's bigger) but perhaps he has the hands of a 5 year old child lol.

Hey 22" would be fine as that means the cost will be more reasonable versus a 28-30" tall version.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

Anything over 22 really is just nuts. This thing is already a problem in finding a practical way/place to display it. It's just going to consume a ton a space.

I get you are going by what's been reported. I was just going by what I saw. But here's a good example of why I think it's bigger then 9ftin the following photo look at the ladders. The small ladder to the right, standard size step ladder. Which means it's around 6 ft tall. The ladder behind the statue, with the guy on it, is a standard double step. So around 12 foot. Taking into account angles of the photo, and ladder heights I can't see HB (and that's just speaking about that statue) being under 10 ft tall. Probably a little bigger.

As for the hand comparison...that's so hard to use as a reference really. Hand size can be so wide ranging. And then you need to be extrapolate that size to the rest of the figure. Most people are not very good at that.

Actually 22" would be nice. It'll still be massive at that height due to the width and depth.

11 foot would make 22" for the 1/6 correct. 12 foot would be 24". I was going by the guy's four fingers around the boot being 3-1/2 to 4" tall x 7 hands high which gives a range of 25-28". Not very scientific I know. If that's a six foot ladder then 11 foot for the 1/1 seems plausible. It's certainly more than 9 foot tall so those estimates were cleary off.

Yea, it's just hard to judge size. Most people are awful at it. Lol math, the difference between a nerd (good at math) and a geek (not so good). Lol

11foot would be my personal guess. But 10-12 foot tall is the range it's in, of that I'm pretty confident.

As for the figure...22 inches seems like a good guess. 20-24 would by my range estimate. The height is just one part of what makes this thing so massive. That width and depth are just crazy. It's just so big. Lol

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

I think the Hulkbuster is 11 feet tall so 22 inches would be perfect at 1/6
