I might get a Hudson, but with so much cool stuff on my want list and not much for budget, the other marines just don't make the cut right now, and I'd much prefer to keep my order for the Power Loader right now, that's going to be an impressive piece.

I have a feeling once you get one marine in-hand and see how cool they are, gear and all, you'll want the others. They are kind of pricey right now. You might want to wait until the heat let's up a bit anyway.

It's not that I question the coolness, they look great, but I just don't have any strong attachment to any of them except Hicks, which is why I'm thrilled to have found a means to get him reasonably, and then Hudson's personality adds to the mix too. I didn't get Ripley based on non-Les painted images, and at this point, since one comes with the loader, I'll just get that one, hopefully she'll have the more angry "get away from her you *****!" face on her. Once I get my Hicks, I'm going to photograph/photoshop right after Hudson is taken and Hicks does a roll accross the floor as and Alien is in mid-air and blasts it, I love that shot.

Fantastic picture show, MaulFan! What a treat to come home to after another long day... thanks for all the amazing eye candy!!! Now I really can't wait till mine gets here! These are gonna be so much fun to set up and shoot. I only wish I could afford a dozen of 'em!

Well, first I gotta get some grub, I'll see what I can do for natural light today, we've got some storms moving through the northeast right now so not a lot of daylight, but my camera can work with that. I also forgot about the eggs from my snap kits that I had at work and brought those home, so I'll have some nest warrior images later.

Hey, Les and pjam, and anyone else who has made a custom of Hicks if they've used Hudson's armor...tell me this. How did you get the Hudson design stuff off of his armor? I want to remove it without really messing up the camo paint job on the chest armor. I'll paint Hicks's red heart on the chest armor and put on the padlock and clasp resin casting I got from Chris at EVA. Can you use paint thinner or maybe some rubbing alcohol? Or is it just easier painting over the skull/knife design and the "LOUISE" on Hudson's chest armor? Help me out with any tips you have so I can covert Hudson's chest armor to the way Hicks had his painted in the movie. I'm getting in my extra Hudson to use to make Hicks from Dboz today. Thanks so much!

Here are some daylight shots, I wasn't going for composition or anything, just trying to highlight the paint apps in different areas. The "skeleton suit" highlights don't show totally ture color in these, the shade is basically like the shade in the background of the forums here, but more towards an olive green shade than brown, and a little darker, but it's not as dominant as some shots make it appear.

Well if you have the funds now, look at ordering from Toys2, it's a like $10 more than Sideshow (that's when you factor in shipping for both, unit price is the same), I was impatient so I went to them to get it asap.

I have the funds now, but I am just gonna wait for it from SS.

I have been packing and packing and packing for a move, so I dont need to have any new figs coming right now.

I think it should be shipping from SS around the time I am finished moving.

Great stuff MF and thanks much. Seems the paint apps are really well done, the scales look consistent and shaded well... although I may end up having a darker drybrush layering done on the body...

I'm in the same boat as WG, gotta wait and Mike, sorry bro, I wouldn't be the guy to talk to about that, try Josh and Les...
