Yeah I'm still on the fence with keeping Pepper, or selling her. The Mark IX is an obvious keep, of course.

This looks like their worst "female" figure to date. Looks hideous, yikes. Hopefully Scarlett Witch turns out better and more feminine looking.

Yeah, I do think it looks hideous. Look at that square jaw and head, looks extremely masculine in all those blogger shots. I don't see Gweneth Paltrow in any of those blogger pics. Well, there's a Gweneth Paltrow, but it has a huge head and ain't human.

I will say this, they did a pretty good job with the rooted hair and fringe. Too bad it's on a bad sculpt.

I never go by the early blogger pics. I think this set will look better in hand. I like the physique sculpt, that definately resembles Paltrow's body in that scene IMO

Paltrow was never considered gorgeous in my book, more ethereal and I think HT captured it compared to getting a decent likeness of say Scar Jo.

I think this set looks excellent. I love the weathering on the armor and pepper is not too bad. She comes with a nice set of accessories. Plenty of display options. Can't wait to get my set

I'm pretty happy with this set too. The armor looks perfect, Pepper looks great (not perfect, but certainly looks better than the prototype pictures), and all the accessories are cool. I was on the fence about Pepper until I took another good look at all the pictures, and I approve of how she turned out.

The head looks like a dude to me, it's huge and garish looking, no different from their weird looking Silk Spectre from 2009. The example you posted of the set and headsculpt to illustrate how good it is vs. the promo shots is just something I can't see or agree with. You like it? That's great, you're entitled to your opinion. You would buy this set regardless though.

Looks fine IMO much better than BW but not as good as Gamora.

I didn't say it was perfect. It's not. There are probably seven areas that don't exactly match the actress. The square jaw not one of them. Chin, nose, hair, lips, eye brow..but it's all very minor differences. And none of it equates to a hideous face. And happy thanksgiving to you. Though I'm not sure how i feel about that in the same post as you calling me names.

And yes, I'll buy it either way. That doesn't mean I'll say I like it when I don't. My issue wasn't with your not liking it. It's the over the top "it's a monster". Instead of it's just not spot on. The jaw line isn't an issue. It's the has line the actress has. The areas where this don't match not even what you brought up.

As for me being a "shill"...I'm not sure what your getting at. Becuase I like the things I spend my money on and don't go around complaining about things I don't buy...which seems like an idiotic way to spend time, I'm called things. I don't buy lambos. So maybe I should sign up for a Lambo collectors club and complain about them for hours. I just don't get that. Is this not a fan site of sideshow toys, which has a heavy focus on hot toys? I don't collect transformers toys..so I don't go in that section. If I don't like something I move on. I don't feel the need to make over the top and silly (that's what the "people man" comment was about. Calling this head-sculpt hideous is just silly. It's not spot on. But it's not something that makes you recoil in terror or sick to your stomach. It's not ugly and scary. It's off. And not even in the ways you mentioned. Saying the jaw line is to square is not something that makes it horrid, and it's an attribute the actress has so I don't see the point of making that a problem with the figure. If it's something that means you don't like the character and wouldn't buy it that's whatever. It's your money. But that's an issue with the actress not the figure. It's like saying you wouldn't buy the mk9 becuase the figure has to much red. That's an issue with the suit not the figure)...anyway...I'm not gonna apologize becuase I actual like the figures. Its alway a crime to like something on here. And becuase I buy everything that gives me a unique objective to look at the figures. I don't have to justify spending the money or talk my self into or out of anything or choose one over another. I look at each figure individually and my enjoyment is based on its merits. Not the money or what I'm choosing it over. Or anything like that. I'm not trying to gloat or brag. I didn't bring it up.

HS is not as good as I would have liked and I'm pretty forgiving with sculpts. The fact that I'm selling my MK42 and Iron Patriot and don't collect HPP armors seems unlikely I would have bought anyway.

I don't think the HS is as bad as the prototype, not perfect by any means, but not horrible either.
I do think the eyebrows are too dark, and that helps to throw off the likeness.

Probably wait for someone to part this out cheap before I add pepper to my collection.
Have no interest in the Mark 9, so guess I will be waiting.

As for the "Coming Soon" pic… SCARLET WITCH!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!

I think the head is too big... seems to be the problem with Scarlet Witch too.

It's a decent likeness, but it doesn't scream Paltrow to me. For the price, it should be better.
