Re: Iron Man Mark V

You could quite obviously see charring and lots of scratches on the faceplate of the Mk.V.
I really wish Hot Toys would reconsider and include a swappable faceplate.

I still stand by what I was suggesting before...I would much rather have a BD faceplate that is swappable with the clean faceplate, instead of the briefcase.

Hot Toys did this with the Mk.III and Mk.VI.
Why not for the Mk.V?

I'd rather get the briefcase prop then ANOTHER BD faceplate :slap

I know I'm in the minority but I'm swappable face plated out! I normally display clean armors anyway, so having another head stuffed away in the box that will never see the light of day does me no good :lol

No, I don't think you're in the minority.

But look at it another way...
What if HT gave us the Mk.VI but without the BD faceplate. Just a clean faceplate and all the BD parts. That is essentially what they're doing here with the Mk.V.

I know for sure there would be a lot of upset customers if there was no BD faceplate to go with there Mk.VI.

I think you'll get customers who moan and groan regardless of how much HT gives. There always seems to be complaints. :dunno

im with you Centurion, for two hundred dollars plus shipping i think they could have done a battle damage face plate . how you going to pose him with battle damamge everything and a clean face plate? i think they could have given more for the price people are paying

The face doesn't get BD'd right away, as this pic clearly shows.

Looks like the Mk.V will have the best flexibility in the neck of all the armors.
I absolutely love this figure.

Not necessarily. There is a pic in the instructions that came with Mark IV/VI of Iron Man turning his head that looks GREAT (albeit b/w)!

The actual figure cannot mimic that pose.

But I really hope that you're right!

It's a very complicated figure which unlike the Mark IV and VI cannot spread those costs across multiple releases.

:lol like previously mentioned the complexity of the figure justifies the cost imo, plus Ht does include a lot of swappable parts. I guess if you're a fan of posing BD than it makes sense to want a BD mask, understandable ;)

yeah your right i know im talking crap and will end up getting anyways ha ha

Thanks Centurion. This figure is just awesome.
No problem.

...and just to clarify:
There's no way I'm going to let this figure slip through. The plan (for now) is to get two.
I'm just questioning Hot Toys' logic in including a briefcase and not a swappable BD faceplate.
But that's just it...we're talking about HT and sometimes there's no logic in their decision making process. :lol
