****ing right out of the gate with Chewie. OMG why I love HT as much as my wallet hates them. ****ing awesome! :rock

Indeed it is!!!! This is truly one of the best mornings i have had with a Toy Announcement! I am fueled for the WEEK!!! :rock

Word... this the kind of announcement it's hard to come down from. It's akin to Sideshow first announcing their 1/6 license or seeing Jabba and his Throne :rock :rock

:yess: A great moment indeed. If only I could figure out how to paint him more orange.:gah::rotfl

Regarding Hot Toys' ability to handle fur - these guys are awesome.

Of course, nearly full facial and body fur on Chewie will be a bit more of a challenge to get right.

I was thinking I would pass on Hot Toys' Star Wars 1:6...but DAMN. For me, when I think of Star Wars, and iconic characters, it's from ANH. And these take the cake. Day one PO for me.

On a side note, yeah, Solo isn't a perfect sculpt. But how many perfect Ford sculpts are there out there? Trevor probably got closest, but I have yet to see anyone really nail him. Even Denny's having trouble. I think Inigou had a good start on one at some point (might have been for WGP), but I can't recall if those ever saw the light of day. And the great thing about a sculpt is, you can change it out without too much hassle, without having to go on a hunt for all the other bits.

I haven't been this excited as a Star Wars fan in a long time. Just this month has been Speeder Bike, Scout trooper, HT Han & Chewy...

Hot Toys, get on a 1/6 Millennium Fallcon cockpit. I would buy it.

:lol Did you see JJ Abrahm's Millennium Falcon-Tumbler size comparison? Haha We'd need a 1/120 version, or smaller... :lol j/k His size reference was incorrect though, I think. Tumbler is a bit bigger than what he showed I think, but it was funny.

Man a 1/6 Millennium Fallcon cockpit would be freaking sick!!!!!!

Because people love to hear themselves talk, and people love to complain, I think they are amazing as is, if they are made better then its a bonus.

Take the rose tint of your denial off, and see them for as they are: deeply flawed. Complaining for the sake of complaining? hell no. I want these to be incredible. if that actually looked like Chewie I'd be happy. I am supposed to love it just cause HT is trying to tackle him? Give.me.a.break

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to find something wrong with the greatest 1/6 news since the beginning of 1/6 news...

Fur itself is ok; face is not there.

It does need work.

Yep, I think Trevor's original ANH is still the best sculpt, although not very expressive. His Stormtrooper is quite nice, but too expressive :lol As for the custom ANH ones they've all been quite a bit off, most are very solid work... but when you get down to it usually something just didn't look right, or the casting was off.

So here I think we have what looks to be the best produced ANH Han yet and likely the best looking one until HT releases and ESB or ROTJ version. I am still optimistic about the Sideshow Hoth Han might eek out... but that means they have to not **** up the paint or give him googly eyes... but that sculpt is also an incredible one:

And if you've never seen it the unpainted ANH sculpt... a bit blank, but I think he really captured a young Harrison Ford:
