Yep, I think Trevor's original ANH is still the best sculpt, although not very expressive. His Stormtrooper is quite nice, but too expressive :lol As for the custom ANH ones they've all been quite a bit off, most are very solid work... but when you get down to it usually something just didn't look right, or the casting was off.

So here I think we have what looks to be the best produced ANH Han yet and likely the best looking one until HT releases and ESB or ROTJ version. I am still optimistic about the Sideshow Hoth Han might eek out... but that means they have to not **** up the paint or give him googly eyes... but that sculpt is also an incredible one:

And if you've never seen it the unpainted ANH sculpt... a bit blank, but I think he really captured a young Harrison Ford:

Trevor's HFs are second to none. I'm disappointed HT didn't go the extra mile on Han considering their Indy got such mixed reviews (I'm being very kind). The most ideal thing would be to have Trevor sculpt for HT so we can get HT quality final product head sculpt and paint apps.

No doubt... I think that is what we all were hoping for. Still, until that day happens when Trevor's talent is put to use by HT, this is likely going to be the best production Han we'll get.

I thought I was going to be happy with my 1/6 (roughly) Kotobukiya chewbacca, until I saw this...The fake fur looks really good in the promos, and hopefully that will carry over to production...Would be cool if they offered chewy/han as an optional set...

On an O/T note: Now that HT has the license, I so hope Boba Fett is planned for the near future...Would like to see their take on him, versus SS...

What's shocking to me is that it actually looks like a mask on a person just as you could tell it was with Mayhew in the actual film. I'm stunned. It even looks like 1/6 yak hair. Every detail of Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca is somehow coming through in the figuire. This is honestly a surreal thing to be seeing now. :lol

I wonder if his hair is futzable enough to get the ROTJ look.

It's pretty good and definitely closer than Han's likeness, but not quite there yet. And it would have been great if the jaw was hinged (like their Alien Big Chap) so you can get his mouth open in a more growly sort of way!

HT should include a comb as an accessory...lol...I have a feeling all that hair is going to need some futzing when you take it out of the box...

I have never had to futz with an HT figure. I don't anticipate needing to anytime soon, even with Chewy.

I agree... I honestly don't think you could make a better looking Chewie... only nit is the eyes look a bit small/close together, but even as-is I am super pumped!!!

I think you'd need a different head for the ROTJ look.... you could probably futz the hair out a bit to get that look, but I'm guessing there would be additional hair placed with the intention of it parting and sweeping apart to really nail that appearance.

So, with that I would bet if Chewie does well... which I'm sure he will we will at least get one more version from HT that has that look, and if they really go for it maybe a PT one we call all roll our eyes at and pass on. But he newbie collectors who decided to wait or just discoved HT will have to buy :lol

This figure could not be reviled at the best time. I was considering making my fourth T-800 purchaser with BD T-800 Police Shoot Out. Once I saw the Chewie reveal I went and purchased the T-1 “road stand” on ebay for my Tech Noir and calling it a day. The $230 that was for T1 has now been put away for Chewie!!!!

Holy Hell!

I just am speechless!

Both these figures are frekn Awesome.

Ok taking bets now? which arm do you think will be the one to snap off? haha!

But really damn! just when I thought I was close to done with SW - gotta get Chewie to go with the Hoth SSC!!!

AWESOME news!!!
