My only gripes with these are the following; The head sculpt for Han is off to me, doesn't really look like Ford, Chewie should have come with a pair of restraints, and Han should have come with a medal of yavin. Seems like missed opportunities. I'd be more inclined to see their Vader, though I prefer ESB Vader rather than ANH.

No announcement that I know of, just stating an inevitability. I am thrilled Hot Toys is getting a stab at SW and look forward to their creations, but these both are a pass for me.

Really... okay then While no figure is perfect... this is really as good or better than any custom I've seen. And aside from the eyes being a bit close set, they've even managed to capture Chewie's face under the fur which few people have been able to do.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to find something wrong with the greatest 1/6 news since the beginning of 1/6 news...

Holy ****......I am impressed. Day one PO I do wonder what type of QC problems we will encounter with the fig? I am sure hair fabric will be brittle.....

Well, the fur on Collector Chewbacca from 20ish years ago is still going strong, this looks to have a similar quality so I'd be confident it will go for the long haul. I'm guessing they will treat the fur to get it to clump and have more of an appearance of weight.

HT usually puts these up pretty quickly after the prototype/solicitation pics come out. I would guess as early as today, or maybe in the next few days.

Doesn't look like either have an exclusive, usually there'd be an extra box in the picture with all the accessories. What you see is likely what you get.

If they're making a good portion of the line 1/6, why would make a larger figure of the (arguably) most popular character and have it be out of scale? Not say they won't ever do it, but not before 1/6.

I really really hope they do a throne accessory for the Emperor at some point in time. That would be a killer display.

I agree, that is exactly what I am thinking as well. A 1/4 Vader would be an absolute instant purchase, as well as a Boba Fett.

Agree, and Chewie should also have the Stormtrooper rifle.

Everything about Chewie looks good except for the head. I see ape not Chewie
