Is this the profile shot? That looks alot better than the SDCC pics imo. Actually he looks great in all the promo pics. If prod-fig turns out that good i'll be happy.

That is the one!

My point here is that you can see the culprit is the sculpt. It sticks out a lot. However, you can also tell the hair in that shot has been seriously futtzed and is sitting flat. So, while it sticks out, there is hope that we may be able to tame it to some degree. It is still going to stick out no matter what. The question is can the masses reasonablely futz the hair to replicate that shot?

Probably have to hire a couple hair stylists.

Or of course, the brand only wookies use:

The Fur Color of the 'Prototype' looks dead on IMO. The SDDC color looks so muted and flat in comparison ie. the head/neck fur in comparison to the chest.

Its like dealing with Iran "Trust but Verify' :D Im still optimistic until inhand pics prove otherwise....

Is that what they mean by "let the wookie win?"

I need to do whatever he did. I could def use a bath by those ladies.

This may actually be my first cancellation due to what the production piece looks like, usually if I cancel it's for financial or losing interest.

I still think people are jumping the gun on canceling this figure personally. Just because it's scheduled to come out soon doesn't necessarily mean it's going to come out on time. Plus this happens quite often where a piece looks bad at a certain show or in pictures but the final product turns out better.

I understand all the angst about chewies face - as a new joiner to this community primarily motivated by this line I am as concerned as some about wether this is the chewie to own at this point. I am staying in the mix for now.

But I think we are missing a beat here and should focus on the mind blowing inaccuracy of this picture. No one wore the headsets in the f-ing cockpit. The white solo beats were only worn by Han and Luke in the cannon pits fending off the tie fighters!

Actually, I'm pretty sure Chewie wears them when they are fleeing the Death Star. I could be mistaken though. Can't watch the film now. And Han when he saves Luke's ass during the trench run.
