Speaking of accessories that may or may not have played a prominent role in the movie, I'm sure if HT could get away with including a blindfold (for the customer to wear) they'd do that. Maybe they should make a 1:1 verison of Luke's poncho and not put a hole in it for your the head. That way... No issues with any sculpts.

It is nuts how far off the mark the muzzle is. It is kinda rediculous to me. What photo were they looking at, cause even without the fur it sticks out too damn far. I find myself wondering how much of a pain it would be to chop his mouth off at the nose and strip some material away and glue it back in place and then try to blend hair back together to cover up the damage. It is horrendous right now.

Every time I see the cockpit, all I can think is "Wtf were you thinking, HT?"

What dumb @$$ looked at that sculpt and said "That is close enough. It will be covered in fur anyway."

It isnt like you had to sculpt an actor's likeness. FFS, all you had to do was get the general shape and cover it with hair. HT couldnt even do that right. Im starting to feel and share the animosity that others are commenting on. If the muzzle isnt reduced, this is likely a pass for me. I will likely grab Han and hold out for a better Chewie. Worst case, with him looking like this, he wont be hard to find cheap or at MSRP down the road. I predict this to be the next Man of Steel for HT.

But I could be wrong.

yeah the muzzle is tough to look at. but im still keep my preorder. I made a Chewbacca head sculpt some years ago that I might us if the HT head sculpt doesn`t look that great

I thought the same thing because I'd love to have a 1/6 Chewie figure, but then I can't justify having to do this when I'm paying $255+shipping for him. :cuckoo:

Did you use a custom under base for your Chewy head or use a Hasbro one?

I tried a little futzing myself...

This kinda reminds me of an illustration I made for 2014's Star Wars Day.. I think Chewie really looks great with eyeglasses!

nothing. I tried to do what stuart freeborn did. I cut out a face plate template. I then used an old Hasbro imperial officer head and cut out his face and his face was my template .I then removed the eyes. then I used the Hasbro furry chewie and cut out the ugly face and used the part like a wig. then the hardest part was shaping the bridge of the nose and the muzzle which I guess HT did wrong. I then cut small pieces of hair from the Hasbro Chewbacca and starting laying them down one piece at a time to I got it how it looked on the original tried to anyways. and that`s how I got the results. the head is hollow inside like a mask I could put it over a head of my choice and the jaw moves as well

Someone suggested that side muzzle shot was photoshopped? Nope. That was sent to me by a friend that attended SDCC.

Here's my photoshopped version (on left) compared to how it actually is (on right).
