I saw a review video of a guy that was questioning whether or not you could apply actual hair products to this figure. I confirm yes.

However, I still would not put any hairspray, bed head fixative, or hardening gel on the figure. My own experimentation with my hair has proven valuable insight...lets just say.

Agreed. I'm at the point where I can't do anything more with mine because it's just getting way too frizzy on me.

This is my fear. I think, from others pictures, body futzing doesn't need a lot of work, and for the head, I'll tease out the chin and try and work with the top of the head with as minimal futzing as possible to prevent frizzyness. Unless mine is really dark, I don't think I'll go the pastel route.

Still mulling how to attack this - if at all. I may try a very light dry brushing (that way I can get the color exactly right) but even that is going to matte the fur.

Just noticed Popcultcha has increased the price of the Han/Chewie 2 pack to $700AUD and the seperate figures by a similar margin. They removed the existing discount just before the 20% off halloween sale taking them from $610 to $630, but this is quite a jump from there considering they only just got stock which would have been currency hedged at the lower amount.

I was going to wait on Obi-wan and Stormtrooper Luke to pick up in their 12 days of Christmas sale (assuming they are in stock by then) but if they see similar hikes on release the sale price will be around the same as the current preorder price (further discounted with some pennies).

SUPER dry. Acrylic paint with a bit of gloss medium - or even a bit of paint with mostly gloss medium for more translucency if you want/need it. There are some videos out there that show great results on other acrylic fur objects.

I didn't know that the nose could come off. I'm too scared take chewie apart.

I took some more pictures of him:

IMO, the "BEST" would be an airbrush with translucent pigments and you'd have to custom-mix your own colors. Drybrush second best with translucent acrylic color, also custom-mixed. Chalk the last option, easiest, but probably the least realistic results in person (probably better in photos).
