So anything to watch out for with this guy? I've heard about pulling the fur away from the chin... any rocket science involved or just simple as it sounds?

I just gently pulled apart the hair using slightly moist fingers then I used the hot toys comb.

Hot Toys seemed to be going for that early 20th century black-face look and I think they hit that out of the park. The problem is that most people don't want an Al Joelson Chewbacca.

Hot Toys seemed to be going for that early 20th century black-face look and I think they hit that out of the park. The problem is that most people don't want an Al Joelson Chewbacca.

Most people want an affordable Chewbacca, to date HT are the only ones to facilitate this.
The HT Chewbacca figure is amazing, I genuinely feel sorry for you, if you are a star wars fan but cannot enjoy this due to whatever personally hang-ups you have.

Yeah he does look a bit digital in that still shot, but watching the trailer at normal speed nothing about it felt off to me. I think it's probably just a combination of the lighting and a bit of motion blur.

I've probably written 100 or more times in this thread that Chewie was my most anticipated SW figure of the year. Said it looked great when it was first introduced even though many people poo-pooed it. Said right away that the con "photos" looked bad but was likely the same figure with bad futzing. IMO, one of the only people who's opinion hasn't changed since day one. So for the 101st time (unless it's 150th), this figure has always been on my November list.
