I forget the name of the other insider (not Jack Bauer) but I believe he said that HT was continuing to tweak Chewie's face for production. I'd honestly be very surprised if HT looked at the prototype and thought that that was an acceptable likeness. In regards to production QC with the fur, I'm not really too worried. I think it'll hold-up fine if one's careful with it.

Let's hope they feel that way about Han & Ben.

Chewie doesn't look "terrible", but he's nowhere close to being screen accurate. I hope that's true about them still tweaking. They have a lot to prove with these two figures.

If this was a custom you guys would all be blowing your loads at how awesome it looks. This is and will be the only 1/6 Chewy on the market and considering how many of us thought it could never and would never be done, I think it looks pretty awesome.

I've been dead against hair on figures since day dot. If it comes good - sweet.

I may.. consider it, one day.

SS did a nice job sculpting hair on their PF, no question that the face looks like Chewie. HT could've done sculpted hair and I would've still picked it up.

IMHO it's less a matter of does it look like a wookie and instead does it look like Chewbacca? It's a first of it's kind for the one sixth collectable market, so I'm not going to fault HT's ambition. The problem is it's not quite there in the face.

I think he'd look better if he had more of a growling face sculpt. Still looks pretty good to me and I'm keeping my order. I could see this being a figure that doesn't photograph well but looks better in person.

Yikes. This thing has the ugliest profile I've ever seen. I think the other pics aren't as bad and certianly better than some of the previous ones, but still there is a lot of work to be done. They gotta fix that face,man. If the head is constructed the way I think it is then the mellon forehead can be fixed by me, but dat face.....

This thing bears a greater resemblance to the Yeti from Tintin in Tibet than Chewbacca, especially the forehead.

If they can't get the hair right, then I'd push for a sculpted head as well.
