Imagine... Just for a second... That Disney one day remakes the prequel Trilogy with a whole new story. Oh, one can only hope! They'd still be able to use Ewan for at least the third movie too. Screw it, use him for all three, we don't need the story to span 20 years.

It's funny, I presented that idea to some friends the other day and they all laughed and said they would stop being fans of Star Wars if they remade the Prequels.

I need new friends.

That's a fan-****ing-tactic idea!!!!

:lol

TFA could prime the future remakes. From a conversation between Old Man Luke and Ghost Obi Wan, it is revealed that the prequels storyline was all a dream.

So ah... what if TFA... even with TIE's and old Luke/Han/Leia... turns out to be along the lines of the Prequels quality-wise?:horror

The way Disney has been treating the PT, I would not be surprised. Look at the lack of toys, books, comics, etc.... for the PT since Disney took over. They act like it does not exist at all.

I think it's more a case of been there done that lets move on to the future. Most of their emphasis will be on "their" movies not Georges. He had his chance and made money now it's Disney's turn to rake it in.

If most fans don't act like they existed then why should Disney.

It's not like they came out and said the PT is non-canonical. It's just they couldn't give a damn about it and just have it hang there by its last thread :lol

I think the mouth is the biggest problem. To me, when I look at movie photos Chewie doesn't have a defined upper lip. It looks more like a the edge of the "mustache" make it appear there's a lip. It looks like the mouth is a separate peice on a peg that gets shoved in through the hair. Maybe just futzing or glueing a swatch of hair over the top lip would help?

But at the end of the day I'd rather have a figure with actual hair than sculpted texture.

True that, but he also barked alot and he looks like he's barking to me (emoting) which I kind of dig.

Thankfully I don't see that being remotely possible. Even if the stories or screenplays aren't the best (as was clearly the case with his two Trek movies), JJ still finds a way to make movies that are at least incredibly fun and entertaining to watch.

Which is actually even more than you can say for Spielberg these days, which is why I'm also not worried about this turning into another Indy 4.

Shut your mouth. :lecture

Clearly not a veteran of 1998.:lol

They are paying attention to the only George trilogy that nearly every character from is iconic.

Yeah, I guess it hinges how much you liked Trek movies and MI3. Found all three fun but forgettable, ST 1 being the best. Super 8 they kidnapped Spielberg from 1978, made him direct the movie under duress, then sent him back, so that doesn't count.
