I've been thinking about buying him for a while now. I have 11 sideshow pieces & no Hot toys. Are they just as good of quality?

But look how worse the snout is on the replacement? It's out much further. Personally I think the one on the right looks a lot better.

It explains the second one I got, they are just all different. I saw a US release Chewie in Forbidden Planet in NYC yesterday and it was even darker than the two I have seen so far? Batches? :dunno
Yeah, it's funny, I noticed that too but wasn't worried about it as I hadn't futzed (and it still looks like it would stick out much farther regardless), but after the quick futz it looks completely fine.

Great first post.:) Anyone wanna field this? :lol

The courier just delivered my Han-Chewie two pack! I can't open it for about a month as we're packing up to move house.

Darthevo I've either sold or literally just given away all my Sideshow figures.
I'm only keeping SS's R2 (until a HT replacement comes along) and SS's Proto Boba Fett. The rest will be Hot Toys from now on.

Don't do it, unless you like being broke and addicted to toys. SS isn't even in the same league. Prices are, but that's it really. SS should stick to statues and let HT handle articulated figures.

I think that may be the slight warp from the camera lens. Looks at the glass shelf below, its stretches at the ends.

^^No mods. Just pushed it down against his shoulder a little bit maybe. In this pose I was trying to make him as tall as possible as I was switching him to the shorter stand and figured he could fit in the detolf like that.

Hot Toys next Stormtrooper variant.

Makes me certain that the next wave this January will be the better ones to have.

How many times have I said the 3.1 version is going to be the best?

That head sure looks better than the dark heads that went out initially.

I know you're just stirring the pot :lol but honestly I'm seeing more issues with this new batch. That awful "bump" wave which is indented into the forehead fur is becoming an issue. And that lighter head seems to be a one off (so far). I'm just seeing a lot of factory variation and some drops in QC.

Sorry about that. :lol

That indent is bad.

But this is the 3rd head that has come out recently lighter. Could just be natural variation, but odd that it seems like all the later ones.

We'll see for certain come January.

Anyway, so many people have combed and washed and pulled their Chewie head to death that the dark hair is the least of the problems.

Surprised we have seen only one absolutely hilarious *home styled* one so far.
