I have serious doubts that HT will be able to beat the capes on the SS Vader. More often than not HT capes are being looked to be replaced.

Let's not get carried away.

No regrets on getting this figure, although I did put on an ANH suit and some forearm tape. I'll get the HT Vader, but my SS Vader won't be going anywhere.

We'll know soon. HT doesn't wait too long between reveal and photos, right? No latter than Thursday next week, maybe as early as Monday. They're not like Sideshow in that regard. Once something is teased like this, it usually gets out there quickly. I'm not counting revealed figures at shows (like Batman Returns or the many others that HT didn't deliver on for months or years).

Can't believe how quiet this thread is! I guess people have been distracted by the EPVII trailer. It's a HT Vader people!!!!!

I duno if its been mentioned but if vader is not a DX its a shame. He is THEE star wars character. You can show his picture to anyone in the world and they will recognize him. If you only get one SW figure its vader. So hot toys needs to hook this up

I duno if its been mentioned but if vader is not a DX its a shame. He is THEE star wars character. You can show his picture to anyone in the world and they will recognize him. If you only get one SW figure its vader. So hot toys needs to hook this up

DX means PERS, which I doubt ANH Vader will have. I'm assuming you mean it should come with lots of accessories, but there isn't a whole lot that Vader interacts with, aside from the interrogator droid and his light sabre (feel free to advise if I've missed something). Those two things and a nice stand are all I'd want.

If they do the sound Fx, I just prefer it to be in the base, and not the figure itself....and I'd say pass on accessories, just nail the helmet/dome, outfit, cape....make that top notch and the rest is pure gravy

Vader seemed just as evil in empire, choking his coworkers left and right, though in ANH he was also getting in his ship and shooting down rebels--definitely a little more hands on (Antilles, etc.) I think it would have helped if we saw him on Hoth a little more. Maybe slaying a couple rebels with his saber before tracking down the falcon. Everything Hoth was so awesome it's easy to want more.

I think one of the reasons Hoth was so awesome is because we were left wanting more. I think killing rank-and-file rebels would be beneath Vader, anyway. That's what stormtroopers are for.

Yeah, it's true we never see it happen. On a regular basis we only see him kill his coworkers really (officers, the emperor), he was obviously more of a liability to the empire in the end.

I want sound (good sound not ed 209) a ton of hands two sabers, unmasked sculpt, base, droid, a green luke saber, ( i know its ANH but still want it. Pretty much what sideshow made plus a little more.

Then be prepared to be severely disappointed. This isn't the All-In-One Darth Vader MMS figure. It's ANH Vader and all there is to be included is hands and his lightsaber. There won't be anything else. Why on earth would he come with a droid, sculpt and Luke's saber? He's going to be bareboned and that's all he needs to be. At the very least I hope that brings his price down.

I could see the droid as an accessory. Probably not much else other than some hands and lightsaber unlit and lit.
