It's the best I've seen that figure look so far. I still think that it's the best out-of-box version, based solely on photos.

Thanks guys. I have decided and would get the HT version of Vader. Seems that the SSC one is a little too skinny. Maybe it's just me, but I think that the HT Vader is definitely more imposing.
Maybe one day, I'll be able to get both.

What the heck is up with his crotch guard? It looks like it's riding WAY too high. The helmet looks nice- From below, but I want better straight on shots. Not convinced that I will get this--yet.

Yep. I keep coming back every so often to check out the photo, above, and am still impressed. With a few tweaks, it'll be better still.Actually, that's the best I've seen it so far.
I have a feeling there's gonna be a lot of people on here buying the parted out head for this figure... and not much else.
I still think this will be a great figure in hand but if not we'll still have some fun modding the hell out of it

Actually that's the best I have seen him look too...helmet looks pretty decent from that angle...I cant get over the silver nose piece insert though.
...and why does everyone always insist on posing Vader wide legged in a action stance? I don't get it, Vader never looks like that and it ruins his look and vibe.
I think you went to sign! Seems that who makes the display have never seen Star Wars!! Why that poses!? I hope to see some better pics of him when someone of you put him in a movie accurate pose!
I think HT now probably sees that the chest box is waaay too small. So they are trying to compensate by shifting the belt up and that requires the crotch guard to go up too...

Well, the belt and cod was riding a little high in ANH, so that's not entirely inaccurate on that figure. The chest armor is still sitting too high, though and more like it looks on the ESB/RotJ. Dave Prowse simply wasn't as pumped in ANH as he was in the later movies, which is why the chest armor is hanging more vertical in ANH than the rest.
