I wish they'd make Tarkin, that would be a good swap for DS Comm.

That line-up is good for ANH. I actually would like a Sandperson and a Jawa.

I hear you, I just don't think I can truly go full ANH. :lol I want the greatest combination of "completion-ism" plus minimalism and I think 12 OT figures with 9 from ANH, 2 from ESB, and 1 from ROTJ might just do the trick. I like the idea of having as few figures "tainted" by the PT as possible too, even if it's only a memory now. Since Sandpeople were featured in the Pod Race and AOTC I don't think it will be hard for me to swap them out in favor of Admiral Ackbar, an OT only character.

Well I can understand background humans not getting made unless they are unique aliens... but a major character, 2nd villain, and a well known actor not being represented for decades in toy form seems deliberate to me.

I remember some talk or something at one time about the toy companies being concerned with the "Nazi officer" imagery for the Imperials, but then Kenner did make Imperial figures eventually... just never Tarkin. Not until 1997 or something. 20 years. Very odd.

Maybe Lucas didn't like Cushing.

I'm sure Lucas loved Cushing, like everyone else who worked with him. I'd bet Tarkin didn't get made initially because he wasn't as exciting visually as the other characters, and there was already an old man figure - Ben - who was a hero with an action feature. He didn't reappear in later films, = no figure.

Funny that both Veers and Ozzel got to reunite to fight Han again in the same Indy movie.

 (Does Google search)

Sunova...you learn something new every day!

Sheard played that jagoff five times in his career. That's quite the...er, honor. :lol

An actor like Cushing has such a distinctive face that it would really translate well and be a fascinating sculpt in 1:6.... If done right. :lol

Yeah, they made up for it with the next couple movies and released a ton of humans--Hoth general and soldier, cloud car pilots/guards, and then Endor soldiers. I think it was the old white dude thing they were avoiding for kids. Strange that Sideshow only did Tarkin as a PF too though.

There aren't a lot of non-central SW characters I'd be willing to pay money for, but a 1/6 Tarkin with a dead-on likeness is something I would definitely make an exception for.

Anyone know of a February Sideshow coupon code yet?? Thinking I'll break down and Pre-Order the HT Vader through them when it's coupon-eligible.
