Hmmmm, good point. Both Robo and ED have one but again not really too user-friendly, IMO. They go into stand-by mode after 15 minutes or something, so you physically have to turn Robo off, then on again to use the remote. Defeats the purpose, really. Plus an individual remote for each figure is going to get cluttered quick. I've got both ED and Robo and my remotes for them will be staying in the box.

It probably just never stops. Good luck sleeping, folks!

That steady, mechanical breathing, in the middle of the night. Yeah, it shouldn't be too distracting. :lol

I have to admit, that is a pretty cool feature. I just wonder if they can make it sound halfway natural, or will it just be another bad recording.

Seems pretty straight-forward. Of course, HT could still screw it up. :lol

Well finding a good soundbite is one thing, but not making it sound like your typical pre-recording lifted out of the movie (and blasted way too loud through a crappy speaker) is another.

Until Sideshow or HT starts making the armor smaller and better proportioned, 13.75 is about as short as I'm willing to go.
Vader was no taller than 6'9" - it is likely he ranged anywhere from 6'7" to 6'9" in full costume, but definitely not taller - which translates to 13.5" in sixth scale at the most. Anything taller than that is wrong.

Vader was 6'1" as Anakin at 185 lbs and 6'8" as Darth Vader just under 300 lbs. my Nerdom reigns supreme! :rotfl :duff :rotfl

Yeah I realize that, but the armor on the two Sideshow figures (especially the boots) is clearly sculpted for a much taller figure, making him look short and stocky when shrunken down to 13.5. At least with most of the customs I've seen.

Although it looks like that might be easier to pull off with the HT Vader, since the armor already seems like it's a bit too small for the taller body they're using.

Nothing cool adding a stupid sound effect to a non kid toy figure. It cheapens it. An adult would have to be a real weirdo to sit there repeatedly pressing a button to hear the exact same thing over and over again while giggling like a kid.

I passed on RoboCop because of this garbage voice effect.

Quick question, was there an EX of this, my impression was that there was one but I may have been mistaken

If it's a quality figure then the voice or light feature don't bother me. Just don't use it, lol.

Well the price alone on these figures is enough to convince 40+ year old like me, that these are not kids' toys. However, what is wrong with feeling the excitement one did as a youngster getting a new toy? I still have my voice activated Mattel Mork figure from the late '70s and I still like hearing the quirky voice on that every once and a while. To each their own... :)
