The ANH dome wasn't matt or semi-gloss. It was gloss black. But unlike ESB and RotJ it wasn't polished to a high shine and was full of fingerprints, dirt and grime from handling.

Ive heard alot of comments about how Hasbro's Vader helmet/sculpt is so good...So is there a way to make the Hasbro helmet fit the HT body?...Or are Hasbro and Hot Toys scales different...

Thus far, the Hasbro helmet has arguably looked better on both Sideshow Vaders so there is a good chance it will be the same for Hot Toys. However, it still isn't close to perfect and the details are soft compared to what one would expect on a Hot Toys figure. I still have hope that Hot Toys will redo the dome. If that doesn't happen, I really hope someone on here makes and offers one that scales with the Hot Toys mask. Even with some small issues on the mask, it would still look almost perfect with an accurate dome.

Exactly the skirt should be shorter and the dome taller, then just overlap the brow over the eyes and its done.

You honestly would think that of all companies, HT would have been awake during the R&D process for this piece.

Yeah really i mean there is SO MUCH SOURCE MATERIAL!!! Just watch the damn 1st few minutes he comes on board the tantive 4! There is multiple angles shots, straight on shots, close ups.

This one's a snazzy ROTS Vader really.

Saves cost by reusing molds/tooling when doing the ROTS Vader with operating table down the road.

exactly - way too shiny. More of an idealized ANH than the real thing

If you go this way then they could have gotten an EFX Vader Limited Edition, easier to obtain than Legend and very similar - only minor details improved on Legend - not the overall shape. But no need for any of that, there are so many pictures of ANH Vader out there, do a proper research and make a Vader to look at least as good as the old Marmit - which was not perfect but a tad better than HT Vader anyway...

Same, ben isnt that great by himself sculpt wise and if i cant have a good vader for that duel pose then why bother. I already have canceled han and chewie.

Once you tip one domino... I still haven't PO'ed this or Ben and I've nearly cancelled Chewy and Han a couple of times (pendulum keeps swinging from "no!!!" back to "all right...".)

My only two definites are Luke and Leia so far, though Chewy I'll probably grab because I really want to see it in-hand.
